basic network problems
 

yeah i just put in a switch now on the other machine it say i have a conflict with ip address anyone know how to reslove this?

any network guys around

or does anyone know of some sites that could help me resolve this problem

How are they setup to obtain the IP?? If you have them set change one...

Reboot both machines if you are using DHCP or do a ipconfig or winipcfg and release/renew

basically im having problems getting the other machine connected

it worked fine previously when i just had a basic network with a router and switch now it stuffed :(

how bout giving the basic structure of your gay ass network? do you have a router? a server? is it running dhcp? or did you just buy a switch like a dumbass and try to hook it up to 2 computers plugged directly into your dsl...
