Windows 10 too complicated ?

I tried to move all my work from an old acer windows 8 to a brand new dell with windows 10.... Big mistake. I want things to be SIMPLE and EASY, and obviously with windows 10 they are not...

So what do you guys do ?
Are you all here on windows 10 ?
Any good alternative to it ?

Classic Shell - Start menu and other Windows enhancements rename it (windows won't let you run it otherwise), run it, and enjoy.

Mac OS X

That's not a flippant fanboy comment - I switched in 2009 and never looked back. Plus the iMac I got back in 2009 is still going strong, never gets switched off, never misses a beat and is running the most recent but one operating system. I'm typing this reply on it right now !

I second that. The first app I had to install right after getting on to Windows 10.

Tasty1 08-19-2019 07:00 AM

No problem with 10, just adapt.

You could try windows 9.

SBJ 08-19-2019 08:06 AM

I'm still on Win98. Should I upgrade to WinXP? :1orglaugh

Yup I use the classic shell and it's like windows 8

XP was my fav though.

Sly 08-19-2019 08:15 AM

What problems are you having with it?

I went from 7 to 10 years ago, I don't remember having any difficulty with the switch.

Amen! It’s that cross platform bs. When i’m on a desktop, it’s for a reason. When i’m on a lappy it’s for a reason.

Not without informing the local EOD first...

PC loyalists will never understand the pure joy of owning and working on a Mac. Those poor, poor bastards...

Moving over to Windows 10 was a breeze. No issues at all. A few things moved around, but other that that it's pretty much the same.

The neat part is there is now one OS for both PCs and touch screen laptops. I use Windows 10 on all of them, but use it differently on difference devices.

I had 4 macs. I went mac. I came back

I have 2 laptops. 1x OSX, 1x Win10, both pipe to my dual-monitors through a KVM with shared USB peripherals, like Magic Trackpad, Magic Keyboard, Win Mouse and Keyboard as well. My Windows machine is triple booted w/ Kali, Ubuntu and Windows.

If given a choice to only have 1 of them, I'd go OSX, all the way. I don't even work on my Win box. I just use that for Fortnite. LOL

personally never see a problem between one and another, although, i did prefer xp, just glad 10 is stable unlike 8, when i moved from xp to 8 or was it 7, either one, one was so unstable, crashing always :(

SpicyM 08-21-2019 05:35 AM

I love Windows 7 so much, too bad the idiots are gonna quit support for it. :( Never experienced a single problem with this OS. Simple, fast, stable.

Try to take a flight with your Mac Book Pro

Flying with a MacBook Pro? Recalled Apple laptops get flight ban over battery fire risk
Travelers who own 15-inch MacBook Pros should check Apple's recall page if they want to take their laptop on their next flight.

I fucking hate MAC. My GF uses them because of her work. I help her a lot and can not use the damn thing.

Lexi BongaCash 08-30-2019 06:31 AM

Haha windows 7 was classic, very simple! But I like 10 as well

ghjghj 08-30-2019 10:39 AM

rowan 08-31-2019 07:00 AM

Had to get a friend help me to set up a local administrator account so I didn't need to log into Microsoft.

First time I've ever had an OS beg me to sign up to an online service in order to work.

Same here. Mac fanboys won’t ever have the pleasure of buying current hardware at reasonable price points.

Evil1 09-01-2019 02:16 PM

Linux bitches. fuck windows, and fuck mac even harder.

adultchatpay 09-01-2019 05:46 PM

You will get used to it.

BaldBastard 09-01-2019 09:51 PM

Ya'll realise its nearly 2020 right?

I'm on the insider program testing the next version of Windows 20, or whatever they finally call it, been doing the for the past 2 years and I have to say its awesome, Its similar to windows 10 just more features and stability, I run it on the pc I use the most its so good.

I have two macbooks a 2008 one and 2017, they get turned on when I need to test something on mac, then turned off ;)

brassmonkey 09-01-2019 10:27 PM

it's more of a spyware like chrome and firefox have become. i turned off error reporting yet it sneaks and tries to send out stuff. i watch it like a hawk now. the a holes keep changing my services. they even went in a couple years ago and locked me out of my comp. they switched my login to my bing account.

nikki99 09-02-2019 05:52 PM

I am loving it

adultinnovation 09-03-2019 01:00 AM

no...……..

EddyTheDog 09-03-2019 01:24 AM

I stick Windows 7 on everything - I guess I will have to change one day...

There is one Adobe prog I want to try that requires Win10 - I hope it's not a trend.....
