What to do if... (domain question)???

What can be done if you had registered a domain a while back with a 3rd party company or registrar (not verisign) that is no longer in existence now, and you need to transfer the domain to another host?

Are you shit out of luck? Or is there another way to do it through Network Solutions (even though it wasn't registered through them to begin with)?

Do a whois to see who actually has the registration.. The 3rd party folks would have registered it for you through icann or some other company that should be able to help ya..

Thanks. I'm going to contact InterNIC about it... the domain info shows up in their whois, and they have a "Registrar Problem Report" form on the site.

It isn't an urgent need, but I'd like to get it moved to my current host. It was the first (and subsequently the last) time I've ever used a 'cheapo' registrar.
