Impeachment not going so well?

The 332-95 vote divided Democrats, with 95 — a little more than 40% of the Democratic caucus -- voting against tabling it, or voting to keep it alive. There were 137 Democrats who joined all Republicans in voting to defeat the measure.

Hey alt-right hate fake nic troll ... It's about timing they're waiting until closer to the election. It'll be like "we really don't want to do this but it took [fill in resent illegal act] to make us impeach him"

onwebcam 07-17-2019 07:30 PM

Did Nancy throw a hissy fit and storm out of the chambers again?

I would think she voted against it.

I don't know if impeachment is the best course to take anymore...

Just curious as to why you think that. Not a troll attempt. I’m genuinely curious

Simple. Impeachment is an extremely complicated process and you basically get one shot at it. If they miss, then it might swing undecided or centrist voters to the other side, which would make Trump's support stronger.

I don't think they want him out of office either. It would destabilize the government even more and... let's be honest... does ANYONE really want Pence in charge? Trump is the lesser of 2 evils no matter which side of the political spectrum you're on.

I think they would want to time Impeachment proceedings a bit closer to elections. They most likely won't get him out of office with it because its such a hard thing to accomplish... however, impeachment does open a public investigation into Trump affairs which will unseal a lot of documents and bring to light a lot of his shenanigans.

What those shenanigans are... I don't know. Will it be enough to swings more voters back to the Dem side? I don't know...

But, holding onto the impeachment card until later is probably the strategically smarter move. All that we see should be pieces being moved by both sides to get ready for the next upcoming elections.

Mark my words: impeachment is a slam dunk. By this time next week, Hillary will be sitting in the oval office as Commander in Chief.

The Trump era will be just one of those strange quirks in history that we'll soon be removing from history books. Because its ok to forget historical events that we don't agree with politically.

The narrative is: the Trump presidency never happened. You will not waver from the narrative. You will not think about the narrative objectively. You will not question the narrative. Got it? Now go back to sleep.

This is a great post.

Impeachment is a complicated process and they will only get one shot at it. It's also very, very serious and should not be taken lightly. I do not believe we should attempt to impeach tRump because he is a racist. We should impeach him for much more serious crimes.

This is a shitshow and it's disappointing so many people continue to support him.

One of my familly members is fully on board with the kool aid and it'a amazing. She is a recent immagrant herself. Her and her sister came to the United States "on a boat" with her two kids and they got a green card. Since then they have been nothing to a strain on our resources. My sister in law's son is a meth addict, got married, spit out seven kids, and their children have been wards of the state for a decade now. My sister's in law claims to be disabled and never worked a day since she set foot in the US. My sister in law doesn't seem to understand that she is exactly what the tRump people hate - an anchor. Even worse, the amount of money she has cost the United States Taxpayers is most likely in the millions of dollars.

Please point out the much more serious crime in which to impeach the sitting president?

Treason.

Read the Mueller report. It details how the Trump Campaign fed the Russian goverment data on a weekly basis on an encrypted app, and then deleted the original information they sent to hide their tracks.

If that doesn't work, obstruction of Justice.

Never going to happen, the 137 dems that are not freshmen know this and it would be the end of their 2020 run.
