Republicans and Boomers most likely to spread fake news
Yea, like we really needed a study to figure that out...
The good news for the 2.38 billion people who use Facebook: Most Facebook users did not share any fake news articles during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, according to a recent study but the small number who did were mostly Republican Americans over the age of 65. The findings suggest the need for “renewed attention” to educate “particular vulnerable individuals,” such as aging baby boomers, about fake news or misleading information that appears to resemble a fact-checked news article published by a legitimate and fact-based media outlet, researchers said. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/wh...Zqj7waHhl6Koqw "particular vulnerable individuals" politically correct for "fucking morons" |
Depends on who gets to define what is fake news

My exact thought before I even opened the thread. |

Example Brassmokey claims all those people in cages are "illegals". That is product of fake news and Fox News trying to muddy the water to push the right wing agenda of anti immigration of brown/black people... The truth and the facts are, those people are not illegal, they are here legally seeking asylum. That is reality.. It is easily provable, but if you ask Brassmokey even after I told him the facts, are they asylum seekers and here legally or were they illegals caught crossing the boarder illegally, he will say illegals. Even though I showed him Trump's policy of detaining legal asylum seekers indefinitely, Brassmokey still says they were illegals here in the US who were caught.. One is reality the other is confirmation bias based on fake news.. |

You are one of the worst people on this forum for spreading fake news.. I know you will not agree with that, but unfortunately that is reality, |

If you still think CNN is real news, then you are being misled. |

It's like Vendildo and Robbie claiming they are indepenants... it's words, you can say them, but it's not reality.. |
I had a Republican friend of mine tell me about this website "Judicial Watch". He told me aobut how they file lawsuits to "get at the truth". The site is nothing more than a conservative activist group the uses freedom of information lawsuits to target Democrats.
It's disgusting that people fall for this nonsense. |
Baby Boomers for sure. The ones I know don't know the difference between an ad and a regular post or picture and they love to repost things on Facebook that are clearly fake.
As for Republicans, I guess it would depends on the person but right now a lot of them are suffering from TDS so they are out of their minds and may believe anything. |

Most old people are dumb as shit. You'd think that after being on the planet longer they would have learned by now how to smell bullshit and not fall for it.
