Niche, consumers and the Internet (brainstorming problems)

Ok I'll start with the niche
  • The nostalgia market has enough money in it that it warrants attention.

Masturbate'rs are willing to pay good money for old smut and I'm referring to stuff like old magazines, super 8 films, chromes, Polaroids, old vibrators, etc. -- However I often thought about producing a period video based in the 1940s. Unfortunately once this niche becomes "digital" demand for it sharply falls off.
  • The Consumers only value what they can hold
True enough that stuff like VHS cassettes and DVDs still hold some residual value for old movie buffs and collectors but ramping up production to produce 1k pieces a month isn't going to sell. Releasing on thumb drives does simply "OK" in the terms of costs versus sales but again this market can only enjoy a limited development. -- So can a vinyl equivalent be found for video?
  • The Internet is often more problematic than its worth
The Internet is a black hole when it comes to content. No sooner is content created it's consumed and the consumer becomes an asshole over time. They get very jaded and very fickle pretty damn fast. -- Customers from the Internet often go from being loyal customers to being relentless trolls and the longer you're in business the more trolls you'll accumulate.

Anyway,
That's about the sum of what I'm thinking through and if anyone has some ideas or comments they would be greatly appreciated.
