An Old School Competition ?

So my last post about promotion seems to have got a little spike in the traffic... but still lots of work needed on a personal level me thinks...

Just wondering if a competition would work nowadays... do affiliates like a competition ? Just wondering if a Xbox or a PS4 would encourage promotion... or am I still living in 2005 ?

InfoGuy 07-01-2019 08:11 AM

Forget the Xbox and PS4. Money talks.

Personally I would recommend money as well. That helps you avoid any potential shipping/customs/lost/stolen/etc packages issues.

And while affiliate traffic isn't what it was in 2005, everyone likes a chance to win cash. That isn't a dated concept.

cash got dammit :)

The most important thing in porn is convertibility. It makes no difference if you offer $100 per sign up if the overall ratio is 1-20,000-40,000 or around there on promotion views. When the same niche and style done slightly better converts 1-4,000 on promotion views.

So think about how you make your content more convertible.

In 1989 I was shooting girls on a sofa and bed stripping and getting off in front of a camera. They did talk to camera and encourage the viewer to join in. So anyone just shooting this isn't going to do very well. Because the style is outdated, everyone else has done or doing it to death, it clearly shows lack of attention to the content, obvious girls are paid models and insults the viewer.

So how can you put yourself apart from the competition?

Here's an idea.
You rig yourself up as a Market Research company testing different sex toys, approach girls in the street, introduce yourselves, ask them a few ordinary questions then a few more intimate ones (here is a chance to for the girls to show their different personality and sexual tastes), then ask the girls if they would like to earn £10 and get a free sex toy for judging the difference between different brands back at your office/studio/hotel room.

Once in there the girls are slowly or quickly talked into using the vibrators on themselves. With extra cash or just too horny to stop themselves. This can be solo, two girls or boy girl. In fact any combination you can come up with. You can use big, small, electric or just hand powered dildos.

Stop playing with girls in front of the camera, it's such a small audience that anything you do get is small compared to a well made scene.

Another good twist would be a hidden camera so the girl doesn't know she's being filmed. Set that up in the prequel and just use a camera on a tripod.

If you get a girl to do the interviewing and subsequent action even better, I shot a few scenes with girls as the cameraman and they were loved by viewers. A model should do it for a few Pounds, film a lot in one day and she can do them all for £100.

I have more ideas if you want.

This gives you excellent content for promotion, without contributing to the millions of free wanks out there.

1,503 views on Eric leaving GFY and 102 views here. Proof no one is interested in the product we sell and very little else to do with business.

Eric has been the Wizard of GFY and the Goodbye GFY thread is pinned, so it's not a fair comparison.

I don't remember any cash gift or reward I have ever won.

But I do remember the $20 DVD I won from Porn is Bad.

6.6% is a good comparison for the amount of interest from all viewers now on GFY. Is that good or bad?

Bladderwire got 168 views with his "Rant Doctor compares conditions for children at immigrant holding centers to 'torture facilities"

238 with his one about a gay rapper. You have to be interested in business to make it worth posting business threads.

Not Nay saying, just pointing out the obvious regarding business threads. When was the last time Boneprone posted one?

He doesn't have the intellect to comprehend that. Now that you pointed it out though he'll post a diatribe of why you're wrong, which you're not :winkwink:

In all fairness, a picture of my breakfast on Sunday morning has had 277 views... :2 cents:

I think this proves my point. There is no call for business threads anymore, unless it's about not getting paid. We shouldn't ban them or put politics in another forum. What we should do is ban the cry babies who bitch about it and haven't posted ten business threads in the last year.

Bosa, Red Fred, Bladderwire are all the same person getting loads of views. So he's posting more interesting stuff than any business thread. Add Crockett, Cruci and few others and it's obvious what people want.

Isn't baldwire the guy that can just create threads with an insane number of views in a short time space with bots or something?
I am going back a few months but I remember it being a thing.

mikeet 07-02-2019 04:33 PM

I've found that there are 2 things that people enjoy: Money and recognition.

Affiliates who drive volume generally don't like to raise any red flags with three-lettered agencies, so they fly under the radar.

My recommendation is to stick with good 'ol cash.

Affiliates who drive a lot of traffic want a lot of conversions. The idea that they will take traffic currently converting at 1-1000 to a site that at best won't do 1-2,000 because they get a prize. Is insane.

Probably. People need to stop replying to him so it's only him, his fake nics and bots on his threads.
