Facebook 'sponsored' ads (for mainstream biz)

Anyone here paid for a sponsored ad on Facebook - and if so what traffic and sales resulted from it?

Talkin' mainstream of course, not adult.

Often when I see sponsored ads on Fbook timeline its filled with variations of comments such as "Why the fuck is this crap on my timeline?"

I've often considered advertising/promoting my photography with boosted posts, but not sure if its worth the money.

And before you say it - yeah, we all know facebook sucks. Save yourself the effort in stating the obvious.

We spend about £60 a month on boosted posts. It's very tightly targeted though to a specific geographic location.
Interaction varies. We can spend £10 and get almost no response or spend £3 and get loads of interest.

Overall, depending on your business I would think it's worth using as part of your advertising budget.

Interaction has always varied, no matter the venue. I remember flood-postin' to forums and Usenet often with very little result, yet sometimes I'd post a small gallery and get a ton of feedback and increased memberships. There was no pattern or predictability.

Good feedback, thanks. :thumbsup

I used it for promoting 2 times a year bijoux sales party. It worked perfect, with little money where able to get 3 times more people than we did using newsletters.

Never boost a post. Set up an ad.

Yeah, it'd be an ad only - miss-stated on post boosting.
