Serious Tech Question....
Every day for the last 4-5 days, around 5-6 pm, I start getting bule screens, Loops on the reboot 3 times, and the last time tonight, would not even give me bios info.
I turn my computer on around 6 am... so about 12 hours. Seems Like I am over heating, but I have had this computer for aver a year and a half, this has just recently started. Any ideas? Motherboard? Processor? :helpme |
Check your fan(s)? Maybe it/they are bogged down with dust.. particularily the cpu fan.
You might try pulling the cables out, blowing some compressed air into the pins and reconnecting everything as well. A few months ago I had all the symptoms of one of my hard drives failing.. turned out it was just a cable that had come a little loose. ..and of course there's the obvious defrag & clean up. I try to backup my really important files every 2 or 3 months onto CD. Takes an hour or two but if I ever need it it'll be worth the investment. |
Whats the op system?. sounds like a conflict..Format c:\\

AYe, prolly the fans.
WHAT EVER YOU DO... DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER! Good chance ya can cause static electricity build resulting in a shorted component really fucking your PC up irrepairably. |
Thanks everyone... sorry for the delay... Just got back up.
When I opened my case... DAMN!!! yes, very dusty. Blew out most, but need to get with my neighbor and use his compressor for the rest. You ask what os... Windows XP pro. Just as I thought everything was ok... I get a blue screen stating that the win32.sys file was the error. Re-installed the OS and it seems fine.. for now anyway. Would dust and overheating cause file corruption like that? I mean there was a point where I could not even get the very 1st bios screen. Just a blank monitor. Also wondering if something got in under my defenses... Norton cannot catch everything, as I said before, this just started happening a few days ago. Again, thanks for you help all suggestions welcome. Format C: :Graucho :1orglaugh |

so ummm since when did plastic conduct power ??? i have used a vacuum for 5 years to clean my comps...and never ever have i had even a spark...... oh also another great thing for cleaning comps is a nice air compressor just make sure you put a pen in all your fans...the air compressor will fuck the ball bearings in no time with the speed the air compressor will get it spinning at heheh |
It is the plastic that CAUSES the static electricity. Just like a balloon. I know of 3 computers fucked up by using vacumes. Don't use a commercial air compressor that may have oil in the lines either. lol Us the cans or a dry compressor.
