Impeachment is about putting Trump down in history as an impeached president and putting his crimes that Mueller listed on congressional record.

The process will also show that despite Muellers proof of crimes, Republicans refused to remove Trump from office. It's a lose lose for Republicans, unlike Clinton who got sympathy for being impeached for lying about getting a blowjob.

obstruction is a crime. mueller found obstruction attempts, but was clear that he thought it wasn't his place to lay charges. That is on congress.

i don't think it makes much of a difference at this point because if they started the impeachment process today it wouldn't be completed by next election. but calling him innocent just to take a side is kind of ridiculous too.

I think if they begin the impeachment hearing, and evidence is front and center, his friends will turn on him or answer to the voters. Peoples tolerance level is about at a end for this.

That is why they are trying to kill this before it gets started by investigating the investigators.

Considering how long it takes to challenge all this in court, it might only fall at the end of his natural term anyway. But that is not saying it should not proceed. It is a matter of president for the future.
