record employment figures = fake MAGA news...debunked...

Unemployment is at record lows in both the UK and the US.

But "involuntary" part-time work is at least 40% higher in both countries than it was 10 years ago.
The structure of the labour market has fundamentally changed, and what we used to think of as "unemployment" has been replaced by mass part-time work, much of it unwanted.

"Gig economy" jobs are to blame, according to Rob Valletta of the San Francisco Fed."

nemployment is only at a record low because of a 42% increase in the number of people who are in "involuntary" part-time work. "Involuntary" means they're only working part-time because they cannot get a full-time job.

workers need full-time jobs — the kind that get people out of poverty — and those jobs are not available.

There was a guy on the news the other day that works for Uber, Lyft, Instacart & Door Dash. The gig economy is really fucking people up and gives zero job security and zero new skills and zero room for advancement. Sad

The record numbers are because of Obama, not Trump. This is a continuing trend that started under Obama.

The crash was in 2007

Correct. This was proven in a bipartisan way many times.

Bush's Bad Mortgage Medicine | Forbes

Financial crisis of 2007–2008

"It began in 2007 with a crisis in the subprime mortgage market in the United States, and developed into a full-blown international banking crisis with the collapse of the investment bank Lehman Brothers on September 15, 2008.[5] Excessive risk-taking by banks such as Lehman Brothers helped to magnify the financial impact globally."

Someone has to pay for all that "free" health care and shit.. I have a friend who owns a successful startup but he stays on at his IT job because of health insurance. If he were to leave his corporate job which pays most of his insurance and go to work at his own business his health/insurance costs would increase $xxxxs a month.. Side note: He has Type-1 Diabetes

pimpmaster9000 05-23-2019 05:27 AM

SMASH! "employment" is up 0.2% SMASH!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA!
