Oculus Quest
This shit looks tight! We're getting there with the tech. I think it's a good time to get our feet wet with VR. They have two models with two different storage capacity. Tops out at $500 which is a good entry point!

When this breaks out for Adult in a big way, those that have established foot in the door will be making it very well if they control their overhead.
Taking video in 3D hemi-spherical is best performance wise but the production is all different. You can be swinging the cam around. You must think out what you are doing and exactly how or it is dizzying. You should try it with just simple 3D for a test run. |

My hope has been that these stand alones will help populate the masses so that developers have a market to sell to. But because there are no true standards, the total number of units is broken down to fragments of compatibility. We are starting on the 2nd gen of VR, and standards will not likely form till the 3rd generation. But, you will want to get your feet wet now if you want to have a foot in the door by the time 3rd gen stuff comes around and this really forms with the consumer masses. |
