Concern over laser eye surgery risks

Laser eye clinics are misleading customers by claiming that the operation is virtually risk-free when in fact one in 10 operations fail.

Glossy brochures and websites which quote post-surgery "complication" rates as low as just one in 1,000 do not mention that up to 10 per cent of patients will have to have further surgery.
