This is the only picture ever taken of Concorde flying at Mach 2 (1,350 mph). This picture was taken in April 1985 from a Tornado fighter jet, which only rendezvoused for just 4 minutes over the Irish Sea. The RAF Tornado rapidly running out of fuel, and was struggling to keep up with Concorde.

Yes just once when my company got commissioned by a design company in the UK and we did some industrial designs for British Airways Concord.
For me being 6'-3" It was cramped but a great experience. I did get to go on Concord a second time but just to take measurements for a 1/6th scale model we built of it. No flying this time. |
To Paris from NYC. Good food, seats ok, not a whole lot better than economy plus today or first class on a discount euro airline. Looking out the windows was cool.

my nan & grandpops flew concorde a few times, their yearly holiday to the US. She enjoyed it every time. From the airport to the landing every time was high standard and every one was treated well...
a shame the concorde was banned for the noise, tbh, most people in flight paths appreciated concorde, rather than the usual planes crossing :( |
