Look at his size. He's not more dangerous than a German Shepherd, a Rottweiler or a Doberman. In theory, all these animals can kill an unarmed human. So everything depends on how they were brought up.

While i agree any of the dogs you sight are capable of killing, they have been bred to be domesticated for centuries . Where as Couger's are relatively new as pets and all of these animals need space not a pokey apartment. Just imaging the shit a Couger will deposit around the place as im sure its not potty trained ?

The video says he's trained for a potty and also he knows and obeys the same commands as dogs. So I don't see any real difference between him and a Rottweiler. Perhaps he's even a bit smarter.

Never hear of a Menkun, but I'm guessing that's your spelling for what we call a Maine Coon. Very cool cats. Tend to be large (though I think a lot of the photos are tweaked to exaggerate their size), LOVE water, and play fetch.

My parents went to high school with a guy who found a mountain lion (AKA Cougar, Puma) kitten and raised it. Apparently he would take it on dates and tell the girls they should sit close to him or it might bite. I met the guy and he told me lots of stories about the cat. Apparently it became an animal actor and was the cat that jumped over the Cougar logo in those old car commercials. He also told me it would get out and cause trouble resulting in the owner being arrested, but the cops always released him when they realized they couldn't afford to feed it.

My cat is just fat...and very soft...

I'm pretty sure that cougar could easily kill all those dogs you just listed.

The cougar is about 60% of the normal size, he had rickets and other diseases when he was adopted. The guy just won't survive in the wild. So the humans that adopted him are the only family he has (a pride is a very important thing for big cats).



These animals live in a strict hierarchy. I see that this particular cat fully obeys the man, who he considers a master (an alpha). He does recognize his wife as a member of the pride, but... that man is the only person he really obeys. His wife is ok for him, but she's on the same level.

My grandma had a cougar that she nursed back to health and kept in a cage under the outside stairs leading up to her house. it took a long time to get the cougar nurse back to health. She'd open the cage every night at dusk and eventually the cougar started to go out and hunt and be back in the cage every morning, then she'd close the cage. She never had it as an indoor pet though and she lived out in the country letting the cougar out into its natural habitat every night.

He does not need to hunt, because his owner is not your grandma and he can afford to buy 3 sorts of raw meet for his pet (the process of feeding is shown on the video). The cat has a big territory to walk and play right near his home where he spends 2-3 hours every day:
