Happy Passover! I Want A Bagel!!
Happy Passover to those who celebrate it. Last night until the 27th you can’t eat bread or flour products. Mah nishtanah ha lyla ha .... Hebrew school learning stays with you.
I remember the matzoh years and constipation. The craving for bagels. Eating in a Chinese restaurant fifteen years ago and being loudly berated by a shnorer with a big mouth. Her rant started with our being there on Passover and went on for awhile. I finally said, “why are YOU here?” and people clapped. My mom told her that it’s our business and not hers — as the waitress brought her takeout order up front and called out “Feingold.” She walked quickly right out the door!! Hypocrisy makes me want to hurt people. Enjoy your matzoh brei which I love. Enjoy the tradition of being a Jew. Be proud that tradition matters to you. Zai gezundt. |
I have no idea about anything you just talked about but God bless you and have a happy holiday :thumbsup 👄🤗💖

Yeshiva was years ago but you get the gist of it. You can’t eat flour or non-kosher food. We were and seemingly got caught by an old Jewish lady who knew my family. My dad was very religious but mom and I weren’t. The Jewish Gossip Police nailed us publicly but got caught themselves. |

You can't eat flour or any products that contain flour for 8 days as a remembrance to the Jews that survived without these products back in the day. You can, however, eat or drink anything else? How is that tough? Why not just abstain from food for 8 days. Fucking Jews. j/k |

You fast on Yom Kippur or Day of Atonement. You sit in shul or synagogue all day with no food or drink while asking god to forgive all your sins. They had no flour and had water to make matzoh. So they finagled matzoh crackers and now we avoid flour for a day. Mynzis or stories seemingly guide the religion. Each holiday commemorates something they claim happened. I believe stories were told then embellished throughout generations and now we suffer from the lies. A drop of oil lasted eight days so Hanukkah is eight days. Maybe they couldn’t count back then. To me there are events in the last one hundred years to celebrate with holidays than supposed events from the year 659. State of Israel recognized, end of holocaust, Golda Mier death, etc. But if each religion has new holidays, work and school suffer. Passover is minor like Hanukkah. No one thinks about the reasons why you avoid flour. Hanukkah is minor but competes with Christmas. Eight days of gifts versus one day. But true Hanukkah gifts are a few coins because it’s a tiny holiday. I like religious discussions about trends, food items during holidays, etc. it’s interesting to learn why and why not observances are held. But it usually is ruined by someone insisting Jesus was god or Jews are wealthy and who killed Christ. |

You eat flour during Passover, you’re not a good Jew. If someone follows all other rules but skips one, then they’re not good enough? One mistake out of thirty or more means you don’t qualify as a good Jew?? Feh. Christians who ate meat on Friday were bad Christians. 99.9‰ of the rules were followed but you’re allergic to fish! Oh well, go to Hell. Jews can break rules or traditions for medical reasons. |
I don’t like passover in Israel
There is no fucking bread anywhere! You have to drive to the arab villages to score some Challah 🤣 |
