I am working on a splash page for my amateur promotion school. Do I look enough like a teacher in this graphic?

No offense, but it looks like a hooker pretending to be a teacher :)
I'd say try a longer skirt, to create more of a contrast.

Its what English school teachers typically wore years ago :)

The funny square shaped head garment and a cape you so often see in films that portray an English headmaster etc, much like the type of clothing the teachers in the Harry Potter film wore :thumbsup

Just anything flat and even. Professionally, people use blue or green screens, but any colour that contrasts with your skin/hair/eyes/clothing is fine.

gold pumps are too "glam" looking... try plain black pumps with a nice set of stockings...skirt should be a bit shorter..but not mini...you want a sexy teacher look.. not a homely teacher look... have fun

maybe some pantyhose
high heels
and face forward so we can see some cleavage!

I would definitely wear a longer skirt, a blouse rather than a jacket and heels rather than boots and different color lipstick.....something more subtle than the red!

I agree too, one of my high school teachers was always trying to impress us or something, she was overweight yet always wore short skirts (for a teacher) and always had the top buttons of her blouse undone so her cleavage would be hanging out, and then she'd go and sit up on her desk with her legs spread open half the time.

Arg... just thinking about it now brings back some scary memories.

Although I went to a catholic HS and the girls back in my day always would wear their kilts so short that you could always see the shorts they wore underneath sticking out...

That's the appeal. School teachers who dominated, yet were kind.

If you do it against a plain background make sure you back light it properly.

Then think more about the pose, you seem to be hiding behind your shoulder a little, *project yourself to the classroom*

Look up the film with Peter O'Toole "Goodbye Mr Chips" for the cape and mortar board, but that is over kill. IMHO
