I think they will bring a lot of mom and pops into using crypto which has to be good for the industry, it will never return the media hypes of the past, but certainly is a strengthen of the process.

Given that it's supposed to be a stablecoin, there's not alot of sense investing into it.

wires and checks are becoming thing of the past, JPMorgan (with JPMC) and Facebook (Facecoin) etc at least its showing these companies are realizing the demand is there.

To setup a new wire to someone, look at all that bs info you need, SWIFT for international, routing for domestic, bank info, person name & info, and then wait 3 days? (just had a wire subnitted to me on 19th, still not received) etc etc
