Michael Cohen was paid more than $500,000 from company controlled by Russian oligarch

The Cohen materials outline how in October 2016 Essential Consultants was established, and then how in January 2017, money began to flow in monthly from Columbus Nova LLC. The monthly installments were for $83,333 and totaled $583,332 from January, 2017 to August 2017.

Why this matters: The government, in its documents, states that LLC is "an investment management firm controlled by Renova Group, an industrial holding company based in Zurich, Switzerland that is controlled by Russian national Viktor Vekselberg."

Who's that? Viktor Vekselberg is an oligarch with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was sanctioned in early 2018 for activities including election interference. The sanctions prohibit Vekselberg from traveling to the US.

No surprise Cohen was selling access just like Hillary was. I guess that's why you dumb libs love him now.

Senate report: No evidence that Russians changed vote tallies in 2016

So no votes were changed, but there was "collusion"?

Mark, please explain what you believe Trump and Putin conspired to do, even though it failed, and there's no evidence of it.

Why would Trump's attorney be receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars from company controlled by a Russian?

LOL. No collusion. Sure sure.

Acepimp 03-19-2019 09:23 AM

Are you geniuses forgetting that this dude is a big money donor to the Clintons??

Quote:

Vekselberg's Renova Group has donated between $50,000 and $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation, donor records show. Another firm associated with Vekselberg, OC Oerlikon, donated $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation.
Emails show Clinton ties to Russian oligarch under investigation

Obama Administration, Hillary Clinton Covered Up Their Deep, Corrupt Ties To Russia

Quote:

But even more troubling is the fact that Hillary Clinton recruited U.S. high-tech biggies such as Google, Cisco and Intel to help Russia set up a high-tech hub under the questionable auspices of the Russian Skoldovo foundation.

That group seems to have been set up by Putin-crony and Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg explicitly for the purpose of sending advanced U.S. technology to Skoldovo, a kind of Russian Silicon Valley that Putin wanted built.
And Cohen is a lifelong Democrat who hired Hillary's lawyer. LOL!

That's a false argument. No one is alleging that vote tallies were changed by Russians directly. Voters minds were changed by Russians.

The investigations into Hillary Clinton was a witch hunt that failed to turn up a single crime. This was a miscarriage of justice and an abuse of power.

We already know that the Russians interfered with our election. We just need to find out if Trump and or his campaign actively took part in this. Seems to me like Trump's campaign manager was sharing information and polling data with known Russian agents. That's collusion.

I read about this earlier and what it shows is that Mueller has quite a few other directions to follow up on and his investigation is likely to go on for many more months..

Go back and read the details if you can find them. It's a waste to mention them here since it will get the lemmings in a uproar. They don't need to know because they don't believe any of it anyway. It's very interesting and telling.

Bladewire 03-19-2019 03:12 PM

The case for conspiracy keeps getting stronger.

Because I'm an American. A real one, not one of these weirdos on here wishing they were really part of this madness.

I still think this is just getting started. Watergate lasted six years and over sixty people were indicted and nearly all of them went to prison.

The problem is every time they pull a thread it unravels a dozen more threads to investigate. Some of these are turned over to other agencies.

Could you just imagine looking at Trump's taxes? That would launch dozens of new investigations.

Diomed 03-19-2019 03:24 PM

I'm special and unique too..

I disagree and that really matters..

Trump doesn't deserve to be president. I do..

I'm tired of all the investigation crap.

We now know that these people can have 8 felony counts and get under 4 years.

I'm not going to keep following like OH a new investigation OH a new investigation OH another new investigation. Whatever happens happens I'll just wait for results which is going to take months and years and years and years.

There is no way I will support all of this unless they do it under the full legal text of the constitution.
That takes time to do it 'by the book'
Just because not a lot has been 'leaked out', does not mean there isn't much there.
We are left with very late data after certain cases have ended to tell us possible directions it is going.

Depending on what kind of data is revealed, you might see a bunch of republicans getting very distant with POTUS very quickly. There are new, completely separate scandals brewing with Saudi Arabia in nuke tech and his position on Iran. That has caused some distance with some key senate republicans as it is.

But, it is still speculation at this point, but not without basis.
It is not 'did he do it' but can you prove 'he did it' without spoiling your case for prosecution.

It takes time, sorry to say. At least to do it right.

I am willing to bet, if his taxes were revealed after his party nom, we would not have went through any of this BS.

And if the left takes control in 2020, it should be on top of the agenda to require 5 years tax returns be filed with the application. Then issues like who can grant/deny security clearance needs a update. Same with more than a dozen other issues.

I think we are quite lucky this is not worse than it is. But then again, it's not over.
It's probably better described as a warning not to become to complacent with your democracy. It requires your participation to work as intended.

But we still have this nagging problem with mis-information in social media to deal with.
