What causes people to be so stupid they think that humans do not affect the environment?

Dust Bowl.

Ohio River burning.

People walking on the great lakes.

Acid rain.

Hypodermic needles and sewage washing up on beaches.

A pile of plastic covering 617,800 square miles in the Pacific ocean.

10 million tons of toxic chemicals dumped into the environment every year.

Nah, humans have no effect on any thing.

It's insane that some people think that humans have no effect on the earth.

More proof that baby boomers are the most selfish/destructive generation in human history.

I'm wondering if my daughter would be better off going to elementary school or tactical spearfighting school.

WTF?

Baby Boomers are the ones that started Earth Day. Raised awareness of the environmental issues. Forced the powers that be to start the EPA.

The Baby Boomers started the fixes.

The hippies were baby boomers.

The Baby boomers got us out of Vietnam and got a President so fucking paranoid that he recorded himself breaking the law.

Baby Boomers are the ones who joined the Peace Corp in droves and went all over the world to help other people.

There have been selfish and destructive members of every fucking generation. There have also been heroes and saviors in every generation.

The Boomers hold no monopoly on selfishness and destructiveness. They were neither the most selfish and destructive or the least selfish and destructive.

That's like buying into the bullshit that millenials are the most self absorbed generation in our history.

It is bullshit, pure and simple.

That may be, but in all honesty I have never seen one post from you that was above the intelligence of a 12 year old. Seriously, I used to think you were just trolling but painfully came to realize you weren't.

I would venture to say that every living organism affects the environment in some way.

The problem with schemes to save 3rd worlders is they can't be saved. The more you save the more children they produce and the bigger the problem. What would save them are truck loads of contraceptive pills.

In 20 years global warming will be biting your asses. The price of food will slowly climb, 100s to 1,000 species will be extinct upsetting the delicate balance of nature, seas will be over fished and polluted, population explosion will slow down as more people die than are born.

The solution is simple, but it will require people to stop selling ad consuming at today's levels and go back to the levels of the 19th century. And big business and the consumers will not allow that to happen.

HowlingWulf 03-19-2019 11:07 AM

It's going to bed pretty bad. However, hopefully we will have technology to get us through it.
