QI Enabler for Charging — Techie Folks Please

Wireless Charging Adapter for iPhone - Receiver Works with Apple iPhone 7/7+ / 6s / 6s+ / 6/6+/ 5/ 5s /5c - Small, Discreet, Works with a Thin Case (Works with Any Charging Pad)

I’m looking for a wireless charger but no luck. Then I found an iPhone adapter for QI capability.

So, theoretically, I can use a QI-enabled wireless phone charger, right? Just take my iPhone out of its case and put on the above case. Then place on wireless charger for a while.

I’m sort of curious why the chargers aren’t marketed with the adapter case. You see the charger but aren’t QI enabled so move along. Shouldn’t they mention the adapter? Seems like poor marketing but most selling it are out of the country.

It’s comical that the USA adapters are $30+ but Asian adapters are as low as $2 with free shipping. The ratings vary on the foreign devices but most get poor ratings. Then people bitch that it doesn’t work but the ratings were there. Do they think they are special?!

Advice please. I looked at battery cases until I realized they were just cases to use while charging. Why buy a case unless you’re clumsy and it will fall? I thought it was a charging case that charges your phone.

I need the above adapter plus wireless QI enabled charger, correct? No cord needed as it’s wireless. Many need the lightning cord.

I’d ask on an iPhone forum but you get stupid responses, confusing responses and people explaining how it works. I just need smart people to answer if I need my link and the charger with no cord.

Thank you for saving me from extensive answers that an amnesiac can’t remember. ;)

(It’s a gift but I was told to choose components instead of getting them himself ).

The iPhone 7 is not wireless charge capable. In order to do it, you have to add adapters to it.

Lots of content in google and on Youtube on how to do this.

Right. The adapter I posted is okay?

The issue is that I can make my iPhone Qi but the chargers are 8 and higher. If I get a wireless charger for iPhone 8, will it work with iPhone 7 with adapter?

Apple changes so many things between each model so that if an accessory didn't say that it worked with my exact phone, I'd simply not buy it and find something that does.

I see the adapters for the 7 so assume it can handle wireless charging. But no wireless charger says it works for the 7. Three on eBay say 7 in the title but in the listings it says 8 and above.

People may be dumb enough to buy based on the title. i read the entire description plus reviews when I’m unsure.

I saw iPhone 7 wireless chargers on a store website in Malaysia and one in Poland. $3 plus $36.99/shipping for a one ounce item. Yeah, I’ll pass, thanks.
