Original arcade games were so much better than average pc's of the time so yeah sorta makes sense

Nahh not really mate. All the original classic arcade games emulate virtually pixel perfect on a raspberry Pi...

However later consoles and modern games don't :)

Even the guy who built it says its overkill :)

I think what MrBaldBastard meant was that in the early machines you couldn't get home computer graphics that matched arcade games, this was true right up to the launch of the PlayStation 1.

Maybe more fun setting up a gaming system like this than actually playing the games?

A few years ago, Got out the old 2600 and Nintendo. Played for a while and I was like, Oh yeah. These aren't fun anymore.

I wasn't allowed to take a photo, but at a GPU developer event held by a company I can't even name, I saw a prototype of an immersive video game that blew my mind. The company that made the prototype went bust and the technology and patents are now owned by another larger company and all this wonderful technology will probably not see the light of day just so this larger company can sell more fucking consoles.

It's complete overkill.
