Coders - Best PHP IDE?

PHP, JavaScript, CSS coders - what do you think is the best IDE?

Jesus fucking christ man, 2005 called, they want their development practices back.

I like Notepad++, most of my staff uses *spitting noise* netbeans.

Same, i tested multiple IDE and sublime is definitely best. Tho, it also depend on personal preference. I was using netbeans before but that IDE is god damn slow.

freecartoonporn 02-07-2019 03:47 AM

This.

And it runs perfectly on Linux using Wine. Its one of those few Windows programs that doesn't have a good-enough Linux alternative, and is irreplaceable.

Colmike9 02-07-2019 12:26 PM

+1 for Notepad++

Dreamweaver

Notepad++ crashes sometimes on my laptop. It will wipe out the entire file and I'll have to get to the temp file before allowing the crashed program to close all the way. If I don't it's gone.

Pain.

Miguel T 02-07-2019 07:12 PM

Sublime 3 :)

I used Coda a long time ago. Sublime Text is better because it handles more languages and is more customisable and extensible.

Coda is a great visual FTP client though.

Yeah I saw I could build c++ for example. I like it so far, it looks like coda is getting a little outdated...

I think Sublime Text is just nice to use and it's lightweight, low memory and CPU use.

It's OK but costs 199eur /year for the license and barely does anything more then notepad++. Seems like a waste of money tbh

It's actually pretty good.

This: NetBeans

P.S. PhpStorm looks like a NetBens wannabe despite a fact that NetBeans is a 100% freeware...

I like Sublime. This is how I have mine set up, it's smooth, extensible and small footprint both memory and cpu wise.

I've been using text editors since Wordstar on CP/M in the late 1970s, I've used lots and I've never liked one as much as Sublime.

VS Code.

I used to vote sublime, but VS code is great. :thumbsup

Netbeans needs like a gig of ram to open up a 10kbyte php file

Looks pretty good. I got Atom loaded at the same time and I'm not seeing much of a difference. NM I lied, it's lighter...

Atom is a nice lightweight editor, it's free, the source is on Github because it comes from Github and despite all that it crashes all the time if working on really large projects.

If you're not managing a big repository it's fine, for most of my bigger projects it can't handle it.

Any one have any experience or thoughts on UEStudio?

For real? Here is my memory usage info. There are 4 projects opened in NetBens and one of them is CyberSEO which is 400 Mb in raw files only.

I use Cloud9 from Amazon so that i can code from anywhere, on any device WHILE using my PC to render video or what not. All I need is an internet browser.

Plus everything I have everything on the cloud so I'm immune to harddisk crashes.

You can also use same on your own server, like icecoder.
