Marcia Hase has breast cancer.... I would not wish this on anyone.

Saw this on Twitter earlier. Very sad to hear. I just did an interview with her during AEE/AVN, and she couldn't have been more sweet, as always.
Definitely wishing the best for her.

what happened to insurance ?

I gonna guess how she live in US which is why money is required.

Just a few moments ago I found out one of my friends has cancer... It happened quickly - He started having headaches, and thought it was because he wasn't getting enough sleep. Turns out he has cancer and his odds of living through it are slim.

So sad.

This is what confuses me too. Horrible she has breast cancer and I wish her a fast recovery, but she could just return to Japan for treatment for a fraction of the price. 'Medical bankruptcy' is an almost alien phrase here. Out of pocket expenses might run her a few thousand (USD) including extensive in-patient services if needed.

Even if she has no Japan-side income, she could easily get national insurance activated from the day she walks into city hall. No issues with networks, coverage gaps, deductibles, etc here.

Wishing the best for Marica. Cancer is never pretty and always a hard thing to deal with.

It would be better for her in Japan as far as treatment goes but she probably has a better support system in US.

I´ve lost too many people to cancer over the past few years, although, last year was the worst year of my life & this year, the pain of losing someone close doesn´t seem to dull :(
