Any good CMS left?

Hey guys,

do you know any good CMS for paysites members area left?

ElevatedX isn't an option because when you spend $2400 / year for the basic version (no-plugin) to read "we do not provide support for template integration" is something that would drive me crazy.

PORNCMS isn't an option too cause I have contacted the owner via Skype without reply.

Anything left on the table?

Thanks,
TA

If you get a proper dev, you will not need any of ElevatedX Support.

Quiet!

Don't let anyone know that they might have to spend money on something that they want to make millions on.

People who surf free porn all day don't want to hear that.

:)

What is your skype?

Elevated X is a proven thing. Wordpress can be good if you read and set it up correctly.

How about a headless CMS and a custom API driven front end?

That's your personal assumption. I find quite stupid to hire somebody because the developer refuses to tell me the variable to use to render something I'd like to.

Use a headless CMS and then you can have any front end you want.

Can you please name this CMS (or CMSs if you are referring to many?)

Thanks

https://www.mascms.com/ was the first, and is still THE BEST CMS the industry has ever offered. It allows for customizations, and you are not stuck with the limited support and custom options that EX does.

Ross is still the man behind it, after he acquired it from us, and provides excellent support.:thumbsup

The following two are both great and both free software.

Directus https://directus.io

Cockpit https://getcockpit.com

Here's an intro to Directus:

The advantage of a headless CMS is you can deliver to ANY platform. CMS such as ElavatedX, Wordpress and Mascms are outdated and don't provide the flexibility that a headless CMS will give you.

You can have all your content in one place and have different front ends for different user platforms, such as mobile, web, etc easily with the headless route.

There's plenty of others, just do a Google search for Headless CMS.

That is very interesting approach. Thank you for sharing AdultKing.

But you could write the code yourself instead of complaining.

Here : https://www.w3schools.com/

Time is money : You can spend your time on w3schools or you can spend your money on a developer.

Pick one.

I'm coding in PHP for about 20 years now. Sometimes I prefer to save time by using a commercial solution. But about CMS I find it not possible. Probably I'm going to code something custom made.

Yeah, but I know people who have been speaking English for 20 years; but they don't know what they are talking about.

Funny how you say that, as when i went to PHP school, first thing what we did there was to make your own CMS. It takes time, but it's not too complicated.

I didn't say it's complicated but it's time-consuming. Sometimes you want to buy something and focus on making money.

You can cut your development time by using a headless CMS and then build a front end to call data/content from the CMS via API calls.

I posted two free solutions to your CMS issues, all you need is a front end.

It looks like that both platforms don't support media stuff properly. I'm looking for a solution able to let admin upload videos, move videos to an external server (cloud storage). That's why probably the best thing is to create something totally custom.

OY, nothing against you but MAS - even if I find it superior to ElevatedX - is so 2012. Last time I checked it, it used javascript for links in the template. I'm not saying it's bad :thumbsup

Obviously you know what's best, after all looking at this thread you're obviously an expert in all things CMS.

Why bother to RTFM when you can just build your own stuff?

Edit: for people other than the OP reading this thread......

Directus supports connectors to all sorts of cloud hosting, block storage, almost any sort of storage connector you can think of. "Our DAM supports: nested folders, drag-and-drop, IPTC metadata scraping, storage adapters, remote embed management, and a dynamic thumbnailing system."

Cockpit supports Amazon S3, Block Storage, has built in asset management, thumb-nailing, gallery building, will manage any data you want including videos and ads because there's zero assumptions made by the system about the data you want to serve and how you want to serve it.

Don't be so sensitive :helpme

I kinda like Directus, I'm looking at it right now. Actually I'm checking out if I can handle members login.

You do that on the front end, you query the API from the front end and store your user data in the CMS.

NOTHING from a headless CMS should be exposed to the user. Only your front end should be exposed to the user and your front end talks to the headless CMS via API calls.
