Heaps of DNS problems but that's not the biggest problem he has!!!!! See the bottom of this post for the nasty problem on this site.

Code:

Missing nameservers reported by parent

FAIL: The following nameservers are listed at your nameservers as nameservers for your domain, but are not listed at the parent nameservers (see RFC2181 5.4.1). You need to make sure that these nameservers are working. If they are not working ok, you may have problems!
ns2.digital-boards.com
ns1.digital-boards.com

Code:

Missing nameservers reported by your nameservers

ERROR: One or more of the nameservers listed at the parent servers are not listed as NS records at your nameservers. The problem NS records are:
ns1.vm3060.eosdns.net
ns2.vm3060.eosdns.net
This is listed as an ERROR because there are some cases where nasty problems can occur (if the TTLs vary from the NS records at the root servers and the NS records point to your own domain, for example).

Code:

SOA MNAME entry

WARNING: SOA MNAME (ns1.digital-boards.com) is not listed as a primary nameserver at your parent nameserver!

But a bigger problem is that this site has been hacked to within an inch of it's life and this is why:

Quote:

IP address: 99.192.162.229
Hosting: Unknown
Running on: Apache/2

CMS: WordPress 3.2.1
Powered by: PHP 5.3.29
Quote:

All in One SEO Pack - Security hole and backdoor installed.
Very old insecure and compromised Wordpress on an unpatched PHP 5.3.

At this point rm -rf is probably the safest fix.

Lol, this is the guy who use to ask for people's server credentials if they needed some adminning done on their "seo hosting".

He likes to distance himself from gotwebhost now, but we all remember the logo

SEO hosting was such a crock of shit, anyone who fell for that deserved to have a dangerously incompetent admin fuck their shit up.

Seriously, if Baddog has been anywhere near your server do an immediate security audit, because his own website has been compromised via a wide open security hole.

I know you are an idiot, but what makes you think I ever acted as a server admin?

Why would I distance myself? At the time, it was fucking brilliant; a dozen hosting companies started in our image. I haven't worked there in over two years, I have nothing to hide.

Obviously I would never mistake you for a server admin considering the state of your website. :2 cents:

It's a bit late for that, sending a PM wouldn't ameliorate the issue.

He's using a years old insecure Wordpress install, on an end of life PHP install, with plugins with known security vulnerabilities and there's thousands of automated attacks that have scanned his site over the years and found these problems.

If it was a 0 day I wouldn't post in public, hell even if it was a year old exploit I wouldn't post it, but this is an 8 year old version of Wordpress, 5 year old PHP version and a 7 year old exploited plugin.

I'm not posting anything that's not already been exploited. There are already entrenched backdoors in that site, probably been there for years doing who knows what.

It was a trend a few years ago. Provide cheap hosting for hundreds of sites each on their own C-class IP.

Usually you gotta sign-up to dozens of small hosts in order to get that type of diversity. With "SEO Hosting" you can manage it all from one panel.

The problem with SEO hosting advertising itself as SEO hosting is that it instantly gets targeted by google. Any sites on that host will probably get or have been penalized.

Yes and no.

I don't know about Baddog's service as I never used it. I tried other types of SEO hosting and most of them were a waste of time. There is one I still use for a small project though and its still chugging along fine. However, its a project that I'm OK with losing in case Google catches on to it.

ok thanks.

I can't imagine it working that well unless it was actually helpful. Google wants your content to be relevant to the keywords searched for. I would guess that anything else but manual updates would be seen as a trick of some kind by Google and get you blacklisted, no?

Well the content is irrelevant. You can put whatever you want on the sites you host there. The idea is to build up a network of sites on unique IPs then link them to your money site. The "value" that SEO hosting sells is an easy access to unique IPs

Hey Baddog:

I guess you took my advice:

Quote:

Test your domain
Domain name (without www):
pimpspromo.com

Testing completed:
pimpspromo.com: All Ok!

This domain is perfectly ready, you do not need to worry about DNS flag day 2019.
Your DNS administrator is doing a good job, send them a sincere thank you ;-)
technical report https://ednscomp.isc.org/ednscomp/af8a89c500
and

No "thank-you Mark, I'm sorry for calling you Princess all the time" yet though. Don't worry about it, you're welcome anyway.

According to that page, my own site is blacklisted by McAffee. When I did it says for "Pornography/Spyware/Adware/Keyloggers". Lol. There's not even any nudity on the site,
let alone porn or spyware. Baddog's site doesn't seem to have porn either but it has "adult" in keywords and probably has some nudes in trade show pics.

Anyway everyone, test your site at AdultKing's link above. If you find you're blacklisted by McAfee for the wrong reason, there's a good resource I found here https://blog.sucuri.net/2012/06/how-...cklisting.html that can maybe help get it removed.

(What a surprisingly useful thread this has become!)

McAfee block sites and won't unblock them. They're completely irresponsible.
