Trump folds on forcing America to pay for the Mexico border wall
Trump was incapable of negotiating so at this very minute Mitch McConnell is negotiating with Schumer and Pelosi behind closed doors and Trump says he'll accept whatever their offer is as long as it's "reasonable".

President Donald Trump speaks after two key proposals to end the partial government shutdown failed in the Senate, suggesting a temporary deal with a prorated down payment on a border wall might be considered. |
Exclusive: White House preparing draft national emergency order and identified $7 billion for wall
16 mins ago The White House is preparing a draft proclamation for President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency along the southern border and has identified more than $7 billion in potential funds for his signature border wall should he go that route, according to internal documents reviewed by CNN. Trump has not ruled out using his authority to declare a national emergency and direct the Defense Department to construct a border wall as Congress and the White House fight over a deal to end the government shutdown. But while Trump's advisers remain divided on the issue, the White House has been moving forward with alternative plans that would bypass Congress. |

They're saying he's going to accept a "prorated deposit" deal on the wall then declare a "state of emergency" and allocate himself $7 Billion for the wall like a dictator. This will immediately trigger a lawsuit, which will put the funds on hold and he'll lose yet another lawsuit. Then next year he's going to shut down the government again , but for months. |

"President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he would agree to a deal to fund the government without money for his much-desired border wall, effectively bringing an end to the longest shutdown in American history.
The framework of the arrangement remained unclear. But a Democratic Hill aide said—and Trump later confirmed—that it would extend funding for the government at current levels until February 15 and include a “vehicle” for lawmakers to begin discussions between the two congressional chambers over a larger bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security and border security specifically." |

well at least trump made this great deal...you have to hand it to him he really is the master of the deal: According to Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers Kevin Hassett, some 0.13 percentage points is subtracted from growth for each week while the shutdown lasted. Five weeks means GDP growth is down by 0.65 percentage points, with more taken away each day. For a $20 trillion-plus economy, that’s $130 billion dollars on an annual basis. This seems like a lot to pay to get a $5.7 billion wall along with other security-related initiatives along the U.S.-Mexican border. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
