I propose that my time in the USA as an illegal alien was actually beneficial for the country...

From the moment I got off the plane and immediately sold my UK passport to 'Pedro' who I met outside LAX, I was immediately helping the economy.

I purchased my car from 'Cars for Causes' helping US taxpayers obtain a write off, and because I didn't bother with a licence or insurance, I didn't waste the time of the DMV or its employees...

I was never aggressive or offensive while I begged on Hollywood Boulevard - I just sat quietly in the street with a cap in front of me. Likewise, all of the discarded aluminum cans I collected, in return for a couple of $ at the recycling station, made the streets a much cleaner and nicer place for all.

Plus, I never left any of my needles out in public, and I even collected up other needles that I found, as you'd be surprised how many still have a little bit left in them.

Overall, I think I contributed rather than took from the USA in the 7 years after my visa expired... What say you?
