Are you invested in cannabis stocks?

What cannabis stocks are you invested in, and why? Which ones are you staying away from?

I have a sizeable position in IIPR. they're a REIT that owns (and is acquiring) industrial grow spaces that they rent to growers.

I'm staying away from any company that wants to grow or sell the product. I think its a commodity product and the people directly involved in growing/selling are all going to race to the bottom with their prices and struggle to make large profits.

I made a list of stocks and kept tracking them. 95% is gone in 1,5 years.

In Holland, most profit is for the selling points (coffeeshops) and the growers.
They will start regulating more and more if the prices drop or for other reasons.... or they just tax it more. Most cities in Holland have a maximum amount of coffeeshops and people will never sell that license (also hard to sell). A small coffeeshop in a city with 150.000 people will make easily 1.000.000 profit a year and has about 4 or 5 colleagues. I would open a coffeeshop myself if you are living there and know the rules.

For example, Holland decided that all coffeeshops must be at least 250 mter from a school. Therefor coffeeshops protested if a school wanted to locate nearby and coffeeshops closed.. Now they ban tobacco in more and more coffeeshops. In my city that resulted in that people only buy their weed, and has to smoke it at home or outside or pure.

Buying real estate that are licensed selling points will be good.

I would not invest in IIPR, many farmers that have space, money and knowledge.
Growing is simple, just buy some land and build a greenhouse with extra lamps.
But as long as people believe it, that stock will also go up. And can fall as hard.

I know nothing about weed investing but as a smoker.. I'd invest in those doing seed development, if the original growers of strains like WhiteWidow or AK47 had a dollar for every pound sold or grown... they'd be billionaires now.

new strains.. sell for more https://www.marijuana-seeds.nl/ get a winner or viral one.. and everyone wants your strains seeds.

White Widow is more than 30 years old. And many coffeeshops just give it a name.

Seed cost to much time. You let a few plants grow and make small plants out of them. One big plant you make hundreds of plants and than let them grow. You put them in the ground, let them grow a few days and than give only 12 hours lights so they start making flowers. Starting with seeds is nice for home growing, but not for professionals.

I invested in several, @ 1st was doing good, then after legalization came, they went for a shit. I guess the sizzle was better than the steak. I only invested in direct growers , with real estate assets, who are licensed suppliers. I'm in it for the long term, but as of right now, value is roughly 50% of what I paid for it ! :helpme

Friend of mine is a legal grower in Michigan. Says it's super easy to get the license there. Keeps telling me I need to move up there but now he's growing shrooms because it's more money..

I feel like they'd be appropriate investments to go with my bitcoins, but nobody is buying site memberships with cannabis stocks. And I know zilch about weed.
