Searchengineland SEO trends for 2019
Some of the trend mentions in Searchengineland article include amazon, EU data law and site brand as a ranking signal.
The EU data law is a minor headache for anyone catering to customers in the said zone, not least myself. Quote:

I predict that being PC will be an important SEO trend in 2019.
Google already penalizes Conservative news sites and blogs. I'm sure their algorithms are picking up un-pc phrases and words. I've been setting up a shemale affiliate site recently and was thinking about this. I'm obviously optimizing and using the term 'tranny' a lot, but maybe Google thinks this is hate speech or offensive or just un-pc and might penalize my site? On the other side, maybe it might benefit your Google ranking if you throw in terms such as 'patriarchy', 'pansexual', 'open borders', 'religion of peace', 'impeach Trump' etc.? |
I no longer look at the desktop, everything is optimized for mobile. I'm testing everything to get loaded as fast as possible

Interesting. Makes made up brand names more useful than ones based on real words.
