What SEO Research Tools do you Use?
I've used a number of SEO research tools over the years.
Ahrefs is the one I use most now. Previously I've used: Spyfu Majestic SEO Moz Semrush What are you using? What tier are you on? How much do you spend a month? |
Moz and SEMrush are my favorites.
Never heard of Ahrefs, so why are you exclusively using that one now compared with others? |

SEMRush feels dated to me now, ahrefs which started as a backlink catalogue now has SpyFu like tools with a solid, easy to understand interface and good visuals to quickly assess data. I pay $180 a month for ahrefs which is more than I was paying for SEMRush, but I do like it better. |
Just Moz and probably not as much as I should.
|
semrush free here., idk what people do with all that seo research. google is fucked up, dont know when it will pull the traffic., i just focus on making site good for surfers .
|
Is there a free tool that I can use to check where a site is getting it's most traffic from?
xx |

There are tools which let you see traffic flow, they're not entirely inexpensive. The way they gather data is through either browser extensions and statistical whizbangery or the more reliable ones buy anonymised data from network peers and network providers such as ISPs and Hubs. |
