Will Harmony the RealDoll sex robot ever be released?
 

They have been hyping this for years now, but the launch date always seems to be getting pushed back.

It was originally going to go on sale at the start of this year, then in the summer it was open to pre-orders with a release by September, but the last I checked there are still no sex robots being sold. It's always 'almost ready for shipping'.


I hope it's not some health and safety or even patent issue that's holding it up.

These things shouldn't be called sex robots anyway. Until they can move about, they are simply (very heavy) 'smart sex dolls'.

There are organizations that are already trying to ban 'sex robots'. The problem is that real sex robots might be two decades away and yet the hype for these talking sex dolls has been going on for years before they have even been released, giving moral guardians plenty of reason to ban them before society has had a chance to get used to them.
