I have bought a PS4 and need help.
The problem is there is no where that I can learn and practice using the controller. I bought Star Wars 2 and every time I play I get shot before I've done anything, because I'm learning how to use the controller.
So I need games to gain some skills. My 16 daughter is no better than me so it's not an age thing. |
you have to try the simple games, like racing one and then learn which button does what.
or you can load Star Wars 2 and try pressing each key to check what each button is assigned to do., its not like you are getting shot in real life., keep trying. or you can go in settings of that game and assign specific tasks to specific buttons. good luck.. |
You need a game thats not so action packed and busy. Give you time and space to get your head around it. First game that pops into my head is Resident Evil 7. Check the trailer on utube i fucking loved it. Its a horror game but its slow and steady

Play a single player game and set it to the easiest difficulty. That way you're not jumping into games getting owned by sweaty 12 year old's who have had a controller in their hand since birth.

Get Tetris
It exercises the mind well And is easy to control |
Star wars battlefront 2 has a single player campaign. Play that first before trying multiplayer.

The contoller is shit for such games...get a mouse and keyboard...

Don't play with games; come out of retirement and play with titties.

Use it for that though until you think you have good control on the controller.... otherwise when you go into an actual match you will get extremely frustrated! Just did the Winter Qualifiers yesterday and missed by 4 points.. |
The Battlefront games are pretty bad IMO. Its just going to take some practice. You must have got the PS Plus membership if you are playing online, check the store you get 2 FREE games every month as part of your subscription.

It takes time and practice.
|
Learn it on single player games/missions.

Is Battelfront first person or third? Those thumb controllers suck for FPS because it's super tough to get precision aiming with the human thumb. Of course, everyone is in the same boat but not a lot of people ever get the hang of it.
When I was gaming a lot, I always liked FPS on my PC because precision aiming was easy with a mouse. When I played Ps3 with a controller, I always leaned toward 3rd person view (where you're following a visible character from behind). Games like Uncharted. |
Thanks guy for the advice.
The problem is I keep getting shot at or I fall off the walkway because I haven't mastered the controller yet. I will see if theirs a mode where I can't be shot. This will give me time to master the controller. Of course I will download any easy to use game in the meantime. |

Going to eventually move to pc gaming for Fortnite and other games after the new year as the competitive scene and payouts tend to flow through there. P.S. I used to play Starcraft also :thumbsup:thumbsup but COD has been my thing since 07 and was top 50 for 6 years running :) Gamer Geek |
