Only idiots believed that a homeless guy would be carrying around a Jerry can.

These sites need a board of researchers behind them. Every campaign needs to be certified as legit or not.

Parents claim their sick kid needs equipment and a larger space for it. The sick kid tugs at your heartstrings. You give and they raise $100k. What you’re not told is medical equipment is donated. Space as in new room is built and Home Depot donated all supplies and workers. Vocational school sent kids over to assist. Daily meals donated by a restaurant group. Registered nurses volunteer to work shifts daily. Insurance covers the bills. No money needed.

Easy scam to pull off. People who donate are timid now.

No they don't, since GoFundMe guarantees against scams and refunds people out of pocket.

I wasn’t aware of that. Does Fundly and others have the same protection?

It’s a fucking headache to refund thousands of people their money. You lost your percentage and now pay workers to refund. A board of researchers would be your aspirin and save employee costs.

Jail time, restitution, five years probation and a public apology to the victims. Scam equals six months in jail. Give them six months for every person who donated.
