CNN Sues Trump

Go go CNN!

When we people understand that this kind of shit produces the opposite effect in which its intended?

Every regular American out there who is grounded in reality is grateful for the economy, especially small business.

2 more years of constant attacks is sure to get Trump re-elected, and the house back. Giving the guy the perfect scapegoat for when shit turns sour.

Now Welches thinks he knows whats in the head of every American. Must be all the voices he hears in his own head.

It can be easily argued that the strong economy, especially for small business, is because of Obama and not Trump.

But let's say you're right for now. The lawsuit says Trump and the WH has violated both the 1st and 5th amendments.

And there is precedent: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...s-pass/575479/

Other court rulings are cited in the suit, including Sherrill v. Knight, which determined that content-based criteria for press passes violate the First Amendment. Link

Assuming you are a patriot, Is big money worth this?

Wants and rights are not the same thing.
Nope. There's a video out there that's sped up. Jim Acosta didn't actually move that fast therefore when you saw him touch the White House staffer you didn't really see it because it wasn't real. See? It's all a lie. -GFY Socialist Party for the democratic unites states..(AKA LEfties)

Chump loves to sue people, so no biggie if he gets sued!

Matt-ADX 11-13-2018 07:59 PM

Let's see where this lawsuit goes. It will be an interesting case.

I do think Jim Acosta is a liability. His actions alone during the North Korean meeting were incredibly tasteless and wonder what your guys thoughts were about his actions. When in front of Trump and Kim (where there was no media time given) he asked if it meant total denuclearization and followed up that insane comment with asking about Otto Warmbier right in front of them. Is this a legit media question? Is this the right time for such things? To bring up very contentious points when they are trying to at least portray diplomacy? Whether the diplomacy was a show or not I don't think it's up to Jim Acosta to interject into those matters. No other reporter has ever done so.

Trump statistically loses most of his lawsuits both personal and business.

Yeah, I wonder if he is like companies who do the same, they outweigh the win loss and think most times they come out ahead. I can't think he has financially gained more than he has lost, wonder what the math is though

Rochard 11-13-2018 09:01 PM

I want an investigation into this. Something is not right here, and they may have done something illegal. Either way their reasoning for banning the reporter seems to have changed. At first it was because he hit a White House internet, which is obviously not what happened. Then there was a doctored video released by the White House press secretary there. Now it seems they are saying the pulled his White House pass because he was rude.

Which was it?

We should have an investigation. We need to know if this was something Trump ordered because he doesn't like CNN, or if they had a more logical reason to do this.

It's odd that the WH would say it was because he hit someone Trump denied that was something that happened or that Acosta was wrong for that reason the day after, he said so and it wasn't picked up on by the media. So I would imagine the defense was that he was out of line much like he was during the North Korea meeting,

This was edited but towards the end he touches on it, I believe he says more that Jim didn't do much but at 1:30 he says it wasn't horrible, seems to me he doesn't think it was ''assault''

I was thinking the same thing. Doctored stories, doctored videos, Trump hating CNN. Jim Acosta did what every reporter wants to do, that is ask inappropriate questions to catch people off-guard.

There are other political reporters like Wolf Blitzer at CNN. Sunny Hostin is very good, too. Trump can’t get such control to ban reporters. He can, however, ignore them at press conferences or official announcements.

A smart man would ignore. A dumb egotistical man bans people.

IF he hit someone, then warn him about future actions. Don’t pull the plug quickly or people will think he’ll push the big, red button quickly.

Who advises him, his daughter’s husband? Melania? Barron? You have to think before taking action. Consequences are a bitch.

Acosta's actions at the North Korea summit (which Trump ignored) were okay to you?

Diomed 11-13-2018 09:51 PM

Really sucks that liberals can't be honest about Accosta.

CNN wasn't banned, and he deserved to be suspended long ago.

Serious question..

What is a president supposed to do when one of the press refuses to abide by the rules? Constantly interrupting and refusing to give up the mic after his question was answered.

There is a serious lack of practicality to all things liberal. Emotions over working order and logic.

Jim might as well be saying "MR. PRESIDENT. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WHEN YOUR LOCKED UP FOR RUSSIA COLLUSION".

More guilty until proven innocent please :thumbsup

I think its a big deal if he loses. It will be a nice public bitch-slap to him and his ego and another reminder to him that he can't get away with everything.

TheSquealer 11-13-2018 10:05 PM

He has no grounds to win a lawsuit. There is no law requiring Presidential Press Briefings. There is no law guaranteeing any particular journalist personal access to the President or those briefings. CNN is not prohibited sending any other journalist they want.

This is just CNN acting like a bitch in the same exact way Acosta acts like a bitch. He's rude. He's inconsiderate. His disruptive. He continually kept trying to debate rather than ask questions and get answers and he was doing it at the direct expense of all other journalists who wouldn't get their chance.

You fucktards didn't care when Obama kicked journalists out or even entire networks... so do us all a favor and stop the pretend outrage.

You guys need to find a new act. OR... maybe actually spend some time thinking about what is important to voters and talk about that for once and stop acting like bitter and spoiled 3rd grade girls who didn't get a pony for their birthday so that you don't have to endure a 2nd Trump Presidency because voters don't want to turn over a booming economy and record low unemployment to a bunch of immature, sniveling crybabies.

Mark, let's try to post some positive economic news that the msm never reports.

Here i'll start: Record high business optimism, need for employees at 45-year high

TheSquealer 11-13-2018 10:42 PM

And by the way, lets call this lawsuit exactly what it is.

Another dying gasp of a news network that is now so unprofessional and so biased and has veered so far left to pander to the fringe to hang on to plummeting ratings they are now getting less viewers than cat video youtube channels or some random shitty lifetime movie like John Wayne Bobbits life story.

Acepimp 11-14-2018 01:21 AM

Fake lawsuit!!!

There is no violation of any constitutional rights. That's absurd. No one has a "right" to get into the press breifings. That lying bitch is trying to say he never touched the female intern, when he clearly did. Ban this clown for life and make him pay the legal fees when he loses.

huey 11-14-2018 02:15 AM

I don't care if your on the right or the left Accosta is a self serving grandstanding tool. He loves all the attention focused on him. Hope the law suit drags on for a couple of years so he can ride the pine.

Don’t remember due to amnesia. Remind me what happened. I’m solely commenting on the ban and what’s allowed in our free society.

I also admittedly don’t pay a lot of attention to Trump and his mistakes.

Trump and Kim are signing their big treaty or whatever nonsense you want to call it, but it's a time for optimism and at least it's a step in the right direction to open dialog.

Acosta starts yelling out questions (no one asked the media to do so, but whatever he's taking his shot) his questions are ''Does this mean total denuclearization??'' Which everyone knows isn't the case, it's not that bad but whatever Trump kind of just ignores him. He follows it up with ''Did you ask them about Otto Warmbier??'' which is a totally stupid question to ask the president during what is supposed to be a positive PR meeting. Kim is sitting right fucking next to Trump and you are yelling at the President asking if he discussed the mysterious death of Otto as if you are really going to get an answer to that?

No, of course not, it was not the right time, it was a gross question that really had no news worthiness since this whole thing was already really really old. Acosta has been doing this shit to Trump for a long time and finally Trump had enough. Acosta is in the guys house, holding up a press conference wasting other press members time arguing with the President and leader of the free world like a high school student and his teacher. Because he didn't like the answer the President gave him. He took your question, gave an answer now move on.

You are on the wrong side of this issue. Even Fox News is standing with CNN:

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...-be-weaponized

Trump is attacking the press, and for no reason other than the fact he doesn't like what they are reporting. The press is reporting negative things out of the White House, because the ONLY things coming out of the White House are negative. Nothing positive is coming out of the White House - at all. It's gotten so bad that that they no longer have daily press briefings, or even weekly. In fact, yesterday they shut the press lid at 10:30am saying "there would be no further news from the White House".

We have a President that has accomplished nothing, weakened our nation, increased the deficit "bigly", and is failing to take care of our economy. Short of Trump leading us into war, this is as bad as it gets.

A rude and disruptive protest, continually heckling the President and attempting to debate the President rather than ask his question and give up the mic, AND after this behavior being tolerated for a long time, finally went too far.

One more than one occasion, he was heckling Kim Jung Un and President Trump as they attempted to make progress towards denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.... but for you retards, he's a hero.

Funny how Obama asked reporters to be escorted out for the same refusal to shut up and give up the mic and no one had an issue with it. He kept Fox News out of briefings and you didn't care. He spied on journalists and you didn't care.

Cause.... Orange Man Bad!

You guys need your own news channel called the Fake Outrage Network.

MFCT 11-14-2018 11:50 AM

I'm not even sure exactly what CNN is suing Trump about. All I know is I agree with CNN politically, and I disagree with Trump politically. That's all the facts I need to know.

The ruling goes to the plaintiff. Case closed.

All of this at a historic meeting (that Obama couldn't make happen) which is a step towards denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula and bringing more peace and stability to the region. But why care about that when some immature sociopath is failing in the ratings.....

Even Fox News agrees with this.

This is not about a rude reporter. If a reporter is rude, the Press Secretary needs to call up his or her employer and file a complaint. You do not ban a reporter because he or she is rude. There is a proper way to handle this.

I don't believe Jim Acosta was being rude. His job is to ask questions, and the President routinely fails to answer any of his questions. This is not Jim Acosta treating the President poorly; This is the President of the United States attacking the press. Period.

Fox News understands that this is CNN today, but next year it might be Fox. It's unacceptable.
