I'm not saying the Dems haven't melted down some but Republicans love to portray themselves as above it all. So many Republicans the day before the election were saying things like, "No matter the outcome, tomorrow I'll be getting up the next day and going to work. I won't be protesting, throwing a fit, threatening to leave the country, trying to sue etc." And then the election happened and many of them have shit their pants. Here in Oregon Republicans want an electoral college style system for Governor's races and they are flying meme's on Facebook that have a pic of the Governor that says, "Not my Governor."

It's one thing to meltdown. It's another when you brag about how you are not going to meltdown then do just that.

One is the president of the US and the other a reporter. There's a major difference there. Unless a reporter is purposely spreading lies and you can prove it, they don't need "reality checks" - unless their asking questions you don't want answered, then that's a different story, as it may be in the interest of some to censor said reporter.

Trump gives new, solid reasons to not only distrust but outright despise his presidency every day. I have a strong feeling he does most of it on purpose since his base absolutely loves to "troll" the liberals - sadly that might be his biggest appeal to them. Add to that the fact that several members of his inner circle have been indicted and the ongoing FBI investigations, plus numerous other activities allegedly connecting Trump to criminal behavior, and I'd say there are fundamental reasons for the backlash he's experiencing. Trump supporters will of course tell you it's all paranoia, lies, etc, anything to make them feel good about their horrible choice.
