83-year-old woman killed after voting in Pennsylvania
On Tuesday, an 83-year old woman was hit by a car after she finished voting in Forks Township, Pennsylvania.
The woman’s identity has not been released. The Morning Call is reporting that she was hit by a 78-year old driver. The driver remained on the scene as police arrived and was “cooperative.”
Witnesses said that 83-year-old woman was walking away when she was hit by the driver’s Minivan. Ed Reagan, a Libertarian candidate, said he heard a loud boom like “like two car bumpers” colliding.
Reagan immediately called 911. Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim confirmed his office was investigating, and the woman was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem.
