Spend at least 10 minutes per day (more if possible) interacting with other users....commenting, liking, etc.

Find accounts similar to yours who are doing well with lots of followers. Start following their followers, but don't go overboard or you'll get shadow banned.

Spend some time purging your followers to keep your "following" number lower. Looks better if you have a higher number of followers than following.

Don't pay to get fake followers. Get your followers organically because it's more meaningful to whatever it is you're trying to do with your account. It does nothing for you except inflate your numbers. It's as obvious as a guy who lives in a trailer with has a Maserati parked next to it.

I took a look at a couple of your pix; hashtags are good if used properly but I don't think you are.

Take a look at posts made by people in the same biz that have more followers than you to give you an idea.

Instagram is my smallest earner. Too much time spent on it not enough return.

it's really just been an online scrapbook project so far - I just see other pages with crazy follow numbers and I wanted to find out what works on there to build a page to that kind of audience

Like you, it's been a while since I've posted, but I mostly browse because there's just so much work to do daily. I guess it's time to give back and also because GFY is telling me I should do more with myself than being a leech on GFY every time I log in...:1orglaugh.

I really like your content, especially as it has to do with things around filmography. You can create a specific aesthetic to your account (filters or type of post to stylize it a bit more), as well as creating a content schedule to establish who you are what what people should expect from your account.

To grow your followers, there are many different approaches to this. But here are some basics:

• IG is like FB in that the more you engage and post, specifically with the people who follow you, the more likely they are to see and engage with your posts. But so what does that have to do with adding more followers? See next bullet point.
• As your followers become more engaged with you, you will start to show up as a recommended account to the followers of the accounts who have engaged with you.
• To grow outside of your current ecosystem, you can do the following:
  - Engage with others (like, comment) and if they find your account interesting enough, they will follow you back.
  - Use the RIGHT hashtags that "reach" people outside of your ecosystem. Yes, this works and I've tested this over and over again with the hundreds of accounts we manage. The right hashtags for your post depend on a few things, including the current stats for your account (number of followers, average number of likes per post, etc.) and the stats for that specific hashtag (how many people have used it in their post, which posts get featured and their stats, etc.)
• Post regularly to show that you are engaged on the IG platform and IG will give priority to your posts.

My credentials:
- I developed the first Instagram sponsored post calculator based on IG algorithms and other SEO signals.
- I've been quoted in different publications and big brands have reached out to me for my advice and help.
- I'm actually my own best case study as I started from 0, developed my profile as an expert in a field in the same year that I started and all of this via social networks.
- I've grown thousands of accounts from nothing to achieve specific objectives such as more bookings, more sales, more exposure, etc.
- I've worked directly with programmers at FB (that's all I can say about that)

I think the best way to get organic followers is to do live stream videos, try going live on the Periscope App while doing work on some of your Model clients.

Have your Instagram link in the Bio, there's a lot of people engaging with live streamers these days, if your streams are showing off hotties than you'll get a big following on Periscope very fast.

Maybe show off how cool your job is and showcase some of the lovely ladies.

When people interested in what you do and who you do it with see your streams, they will follow, when they follow they will follow your other social medias. Just keep mentioning mid stream "follow my Instagram, link in bio"

Try make your live streams natural, people can see through fakeness, just be your self.

You could also be doing some Instagram lives, this will get your current followers more interactive with your content which will result in more views and more followers.

If you have facebook, maybe try facebook lives repeating the same steps as mentioned earlier for periscope.

Another thing you could try is buying shout outs from influences with BIG followings in the same niche as your content. Basically you private message the targeted page and ask for the rates for a shout out, they then can place your instagram link in there bio, and do a shout out to all there followers telling them to go follow your page. Or they can pin a post to the top of there page saying to go follow your account, the post could have some of your content in it.

But be sure to stay within all social media platforms terms and conditions when live streaming, hope this helps.

I just jumped on the instagram bandwagon promoting my casino wins. Thought I'd better start early, I have a feeling this social media stuff is about to take off.

I have seen instagram moving into allowing posts of sex scenes from videos.

I have reported the videos and instagram hasn't removed them. It's how I check what is allowed on there. Although it changes all the time :(

I am not willing to risk an account to post these type of videos but it seems doing that would enable you to get lots of followers really fast on there.
