I never liked Ryan. During the election he walked into a shelter and just suddenly started washing dishes, like it was something he did every weekend. Fuck that. I am on a charity board and I just got back from another charity event. Next month I'll be at the local fires station collecting turkeys for the homeless.

You would be surprised. In the late 1800s there was a turkey farm here, and some escaped.... So we have a large wild turkey population in the area.

What they do is shut down the fire station for the day and people can drive through the fire station to drop off turkeys. It's a big event. We also do turkey bowling too. We collected five thousand turkeys last year that was donated to local shelters.

I agree 100% politics have become too tribal, but it was right wing media and the Tea Party who caused that. You dont turn on CNN, MSBN and hear them non stop bashing "Consertives". You see them putting blame on individuals like Trump or specfic congressmen or maybe a best saying Republicans did this or that but they say "what" the Republicans did or what Trump did..

Meanwhile you cant turn on Fox news or any right wing media outlet with out hearing them blaming "liberals" for this or that. Hearing them saying liberals are to blame for your failure at life liberals are to blame for the sky falling, for illegals for drug traffickers for this and that..

Paul Ryan is complaining about a very real problem, a problem he helped fester and create, yet he offers no help in fixing it, just wants to cry about it, because now its affecting his ability to stay in power..

I'm so with you on that. People who don't go grocery shopping, open their own doors or drink from a water bottle like he's an alien species learning the ways of humans should not be governing. A person over a certain income level shouldn't be allowed to run for office. Is it discrimination against the rich? Can you discriminate against someone who is wealthy? Jesus Christ, they have all this money and also want to make decisions for everyday Americans just barely making it? Fuck them. They should just enjoy their yachts and stay the fuck out of politics. That includes Hilary Clinton.

I want someone who represents the average American. I want someone who struggles every now and then to pay the mortgage, someone who has to plan out their vacation because they can't drop $10k next week on a trip. The problem is the way it's set up is only the people who can afford to run for office are the runs who run. People like "us" cannot take the next year off to campaign AND afford hundreds of thousands of dollars to do so.

Joe Biden was a example of this.. He was one of the "poorest" Senators and commuted to work via public transportation everyday (the train).

Republicans attacked him over it because they said he was a failure if he wasnt rich..

And again, being delinquent on your mortgage isn't at all a good criteria to use for picking people to run the government. I'm an average American business owner and I've never once been late on any mortgage payment.
