Would you support a GREAT DEPRESSION for the US just to get rid of TRUMP and the GOP

Would you agree with Bill Maher? Sure, it's painful but it would 'restore democracy'... Would you support this?

dyna mo 10-11-2018 04:04 PM

Maher's a comedian, of course I wouldn't support that.

crockett 10-11-2018 04:06 PM

Its gonna happen reguardless. Trump and the dumb, dumbs are spending us into massive debt.

Bladewire 10-11-2018 04:07 PM

Nobody wants another depression, except for the 1%. The 1% gets great deals when the economy collapses.

Whole world is in debt after 2008. China's debt ratio makes ours look reasonably ok. And they fudge their numbers and have shadow banking so it's prolly even worse.

Most of them are lying if they say no. You can tell they get all giddy when posting any bad economic news.

BaldBastard 10-11-2018 04:45 PM

I can't see how America would of gone on with Hillary at the helm. Republicans were to brain washed by Russian propaganda and Murdoch, in many ways ex president trump scares me more than President Trump, I can't see him passing his supporters onto someone else and sitting on the sideline with no comments. ;)

Really it all hangs on Mueller and whatever his conclusion is, its needs to be beyond a doubt and spelled out so the dumbest on both sides can understand.

While the idea of ousting Trump and the Gop are tempting via economic collapse the reality is the USA is to big and critically tied to world finances at this time.. and so is China. Either one takes a hit and the whole world suffers.

Matt 26z 10-11-2018 05:21 PM

One of two things happen during a modern great depression.

The most serious possibility is civil war. Probably not a cohesive effort nationwide, but instead regional anarchy between groups of citizens fighting each other and rogue authorities.

The second option is for the government to set up a serious war as a means of keeping Americans together. Hold a draft as a means of getting the people most likely to rebel here at home (young men) out of the country. Then put most other people to work for the war effort.

Because that's how your blackened heart needs to perceive things to be so you can have your narrative.

No.

Most people don't like Trump because they love their country.

Most? Of people who vote, roughly half like him or the job he is doing and roughly half do not like him or the job he is doing. A portion of each of those "sides" would prefer a third party, given a realistic option. It's basic math. Having those opposed be louder doesn't mean they are more numerous.

Only 19% of the population voted for Trump

It's amazing that our country's interests are hijacked by a small minority of our population that lost the popular vote by 3,000,000. Unfortunate

PR_Glen 10-12-2018 01:33 PM

he said that months ago. why did you choose today to cherry pick that comment?

if you were familiar with the context he was mostly being sarcastic because he said it would be the only way his base may turn on him, but i'm not even sure that is true at this point.

beerptrol 10-12-2018 01:37 PM

Chump cultist are like lemmings, they'd follow their leader over a cliff and nothing will make them leave their leader. Not even a great depression

He could put gun control restrictions into place saying that it's to prevent the leftist mob from arming and trying to over throw him and the right would kiss his ass

Chump and his followers would blame it on the left

I didn't say that, I said "Whatever Mueller's conclusion is" he needs to prove it beyond a doubt for the dumb on either side.

personally.

There's no doubt in my mind that Russia did a military grade propaganda and misinformation attack on the American public, fully supported and legitimised by Rupert Murdoch. As to the question of it their was collusion or not, I'll wait for Mueller's report because that's all that matters.

Would I should a financial crisis to get rid of Trump? No, of course not.

What happened during the recession was horrible. I've told this story over and over again. Our town was the fastest growing town in the country for four or five years; We had all new houses, all new loans - bad loans. This KILLED my little town here. Our neighborhood became a ghost town. We had two condo complexes in the process of being built, and they just stopped.

Just to give you an example of how bad it was (and still is)... I bought my house at the peak for $580k. Over ten years later it's worth $460k. I am STILL over $100k under water in my house.

I don't ever want to see these things again.

What I really want to do is for our government to figure out what happened and prevent it from happening again. Ever.

Trump will be gone eventually. If he isn't removed from office, he will be out next term. I don't care. So long as the economy stays on track.

That is why I specified half of people who vote, not half the population.

Most Americans don't even care enough to even vote every year, much less to want to know the details of what Trump had for breakfast or every little detail of the lives and words of random members of government.

Think about that and then think about how much of the time you used to use your mind thinking about model photography ethics and stats analysis and sponsor optimization versus where your head is at now.

Think of how much American conversation and media has been hijacked by something most people won't willingly spend a few hours a year to impact.

Actually your wrong there.

62,984,825 people voted for Trump

Eligible voters in the US were 250,056,000
Those that choose to show up and vote were 138,847,000

So he got 25.2% of the population to vote for him, she got 26.3%. A little over 1% difference, not a minority. It was a coin flip 50/50 :helpme

A moot I have made for a very long time...

Of all the folks who are eligible to registrar to vote, less than 60 % do = 60%
Of that 60%, about half / 50% actually turn out to vote in the highest turn-out of presidential elections = 30%
It only takes a majority to win a race (a arguable point now) = less than 15% Decide who is in office !

Some wonder why they only cater to specific groups.... are you kidding ? Stop wondering !

They cater to the groups of high registration with lower education that they can excite with enough BS to actually turn out. At the same time, messaging the small biz folks to donate money. Just a FYI... small biz to them that they aim to help are employers who have more than 200 on their payroll. Not a small town proprietor with 20. But they make it sound like the later.

...What's in it for me ? Nothing if you are not registered, you can't hurt them !
They just try not to piss you off enough to registrar. Pretty easy as I see it.

If you do not demand better you will not receive it !
I have never won a lotto I never played.

What this generation needs:

1. A powerful kick in the ass
2. 5 years of hard military service patrolling a 3rd world nation
3. A war on drugs that permits summary execution
4. Death penalty for murderers and child abusers
5. A back hand across the eye and told to shut the fuck up.

In short there's a serious lack in the western world of Smarten up and grow up. I did the hippie dippie thing in the 60s and we were assholes. However people today are just whining spoiled pussies compared to the 60s

Hmmmmm......
Don't trust anyone over 35..... And then.... You are one....

Sounds like your promoting 'selective enforcement' of the law. Wasn't that part of the argument in the 60's

Our troops fight and die for 'equal Justus under the law'... And that means more than burning a flag in the 60's or tak'n a knee today.

Smart'n up, your over 35 and the principles have not changed. Just how you look at them.

I never said 19% of eligible voters voted for Trump.

The majority of voters rejected Trump.

The vast majority of Americans reject Trump.

There's no national registered voter database and the numbers are always changing.

In 2016 they said we hit a landmark of 200,000,000 voters, yet you list 250,056,000.

America hits new landmark: 200 million registered voters

the death penalty is to difficult for me to consider so I bow to public opinion on that, many times I think the convicted should be tortured to death after hearing about their crimes and horrors perpetrated on the victims.

thing is that would only harm me.... I think the solution is cut the population back and spread out :2 cents:

Moreover, the amount of cash China has is considered in their debt ratio, duh, so regardless of what you're exclaiming, their debt ratio is still what it is.

I'm promoting 2 things... Jack and Shit. (And Jack left town)

During the 40s I remember listening to the radio when they dropped the bomb on Japan and asking my parents about it. But during the 60s I was in both Paris France and in the Haight.

What I know is this:

1. Not only are the vast majority of people today weak whining pussies but far too many men these days are looking for another man to fag out with.

2. The 60s were about sex, drugs and rock n roll. The only people honestly serious about changing the world were a bunch of university educated idiots preaching communism. The rest of us only listened to them so we could get laid or stoned.

By comparison today's counter revolutionaries are so pathetic that would make even the most militant 1960s hippie go to rehab. -- We're talking serious losers.

Therefore the only thing I'll say is that today's weakness is because everyone has it too good and that they've never done a hard day of work in their lives. What most people today need is a kick in the ass and to be given something real to complain about.

That's not true at all.

In July of 2010 here on GFY I started a thread called "How the recession effected my hometown". I detailed - with photos - how bad everything was during the recession in my hometown. I even detailed that we had twenty houses on my street - ten of them were empty, and five others had for sale signs in front of them. I documented everything with photos - houses on my street, brand new shopping centers empty, an entire grid of condo units laid out but never built, and a restaurant a few blocks away where they put up the walls but never put the roof...

Most of the pictures aren't online any more, but this was one of the two condo complexes that in the process of being built, everything laid out, but then nothing happened for years...

http://www.rochardsbunnyranch.com/rock/lincoln2_6.jpg

This was a Wendy's that shut down...

http://www.rochardsbunnyranch.com/rock/lincoln2_2.jpg

This was the thread from 2010:

https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-p...ournalism.html

It's too bad the pictures are no longer on my sever - would have been interesting to follow up on. The condo complex - both of them - eventually did get built. The Wendy's eventually became a Taco Bell. The restaurant they were building... They eventually tore it down and never did put anything there. The new shopping center did mostly filled.

We've also started rebuilding in my hometown. Another "village" went up recently, and just last week they started on yet another "village".
