Video of the Vegas gunman's timeline..... He spent a week gathering up weapons and ammo , made multiple trips to his home and even a gun store as well as another hotel in Vegas.

Crazy to think if that security guard wasn't investigating that issue, the gunman could have not taken those long pauses early on, and the death toll would have been dramatically higher.
