I think cute galleries like that one are part of the problem when it comes to Pit Bulls. They can be great dogs in the right hands. I personally would never own one, but I know people that have them and they are good dogs in the right hands. The problem is they are powerful, aggressive by nature, and strong willed. They need an owner who can be the alpha and handle them. Sadly, galleries like this make people think they are just these cute little puppies so they get them then have no idea how to deal with them.

I feel the gallery is quite bizarre considering there's an on-going infected debate discussing aggressive pit bulls..

This is another lie told by pit nutters. Some of the most aggressive and most famous fighters were absolutely known to bite their owners. many of the top fighters had to be muzzled because of this. The crazy thing is, with almost 3,000 pit bulls put down every day in the US you would think you dumb asses that like the breed would be fighting to make it illegal to breed them and just let the poor bastards die off.

That just isn't true. If it were true when I bought my house and got homeowners insurance there wouldn't have been a clause in the contract telling me that certain types of dog breeds weren't covered. In short, if I get a pit, or an Akita, a Chow, or a Doberman and it bites someone the insurance won't cover it.

Maybe dogs aren't as aggressive because of more recent breeding, but there are still breeds that are plenty aggressive. Stereotypes exist for a reason.

And that is exactly why the racist OneHunglo always posts about pitbulls to correlate "violent" dog breeds with human "breeds" ( Mongoloid, Caucasoid & Negroid ) saying Negroids are genetically inferior and violent. It's him threading the needle of racism.

The dogs are well-trained and recognized an alpha, even a four-old child. She was patient but firm. She walked away and their eyes followed her instead of looking at the food.

Pit bulls may be instinctively aggressive, but training and love can change that. You beat a dog, yell at it, smack it, you can expect it to attack some day. Cute little poodles and sweet golden retrievers can be vicious if pushed to that level.

My dog was collie/retriever and gentle and calm. But if he sensed danger, he’d bare teeth, back would go up and you’d know he was angry. A block away, a neighbor had company. Grandfather was mean and nasty. At age 17, my dog had little voice left and was in the yard. Grandpa walked by and I heard scratchy barking, barely loud, but I heard. Went outside and saw him leaning on our fence. Dog sensed danger and warned us. Barking tired him so he napped! He couldn’t chew steak but he got fresh hamburger as a reward.

At 18 we put him to sleep as he could barely walk and arthritis made him cry out. But we never forgot how he tried to warn us, even in pain and discomfort walking around.

Dogs are amazing animals. Raised right, that is.
