Licensed Content:

This means you do not own the content you simply have the right to use the content. This holds true for both still images and video. Many content producers are happy to license the content for use with a one-time fee (for stills usually) or a recurring fee (mostly associated with licensed video). This means you can use the content but you cannot sell the content to a third party.

Exclusive Content:

This can be either a purchase or a licensing agreement. If licensed this means you cannot sell the content to a third party. You will have the content exclusively to display in your site but it cannot be sold to a third party. The content creator or distributor has granted an exclusive license to that content so that you are the only one using it but you do not own it. Some content can be shot by producers that will be exclusive sets/video that can be purchased for use in all perpetuity (you can do what you want with it i.e. use it sell it license it etc.

Custom:

This is when you work with a producer on exactly what kind of content you are looking for and the producer will go and custom shoot it to your needs. Most likely this will be a purchase and not a licensing agreement. Meaning that if you purchase the content it is yours to use in any way you see fit.... license out, sell, etc. It is not unheard of for a producer to do a custom shoot and license the content but is not all that common.

In many cases you can get more content in the monthly budget if the content is licensed.
