Since this ignorant turd imposed trade tariffs on steel i have had to pay more than $47,600 extra on CNC machines and other equipment i purchased for my company.

Here is just one small example from my supplier today:

Price before tariff $3150.00
Freight: $289.00
Tariff Fee: $787.50
Total: $4226.5

What type of parts are you processing? And was that machine bought state side or over seas? I have suppliers here in the states that are not charging any of those "fees" looks shady to me.

It's nice that they separated the tariff fee so the morons who voted from him that get these bills are shown what they voted for..

Honestly though it doesnt seem any worse than going to Houston... didnt hear any gun shots and only had 2 guys walk up to me trying to bum money...

It's actually a US company that i have been dealing with for about 22 years. I trust the quality of their machines and so far, touch wood i have never had a serious breakdown. Also before the tariffs they have some of the best prices.

They are honest in as much as they up front about extra charges in quite some detail whereas other company's i have used are not.

Felder is another company i have been buying from since 1983 an Austrian company with outlets here in the USA. They make arguably the best quality woodworking machines. Their prices are going up 25-27% and no other company can come near to their quality and reliability. So one is forced to pay the extra or downgrade. The extra costs i will pay this year far outweighs the reduction in my corporation tax. #Thanks Chump!

No doubt, and id like to keep it that way, but my having to pay more $$ for equipment means my costs go up which in turn means my prices go up, which could effect sales. I would like to increase business not reduce it and Chump makes that more and more difficult the longer he fucks up the country.

you prolly have those concerns every day though. I guess I've been lucky, we source most all supplies and equipment from South Korea and have fortunately avoided any tariffs so far. Although we've had pushback establishing a presence in the UK, which I think is attributed to a bit of negative sentiment toward US business right now, the paperwork they are demanding is insane, delays, blah blah, all due to trump's bullying ways.

Im my experience there has always been a stupid amount of paperwork required between countries. Just last week i tried to import some appliances for my home from the UK. Because they don't have a US electrical certification they make you jump through hoops to get the shipments past customs. It's not as if i'm bringing in hundreds of them, it just one of each item.

Its a great pity as Europe has some amazingly advanced appliances that really put the US stuff to shame, yet because of all this red tape Americans will probably never get to see it :2 cents: ( i don't blame Chump for the red tape just the tariffs )

My main job has always been Film Effects but as a lover of cute women i started shooting porn in 1969 as a hobby. Around 1975 the hobby took off and started making me a nice chunk of extra change in the UK. When i moved to San Diego in 1995 i continued shooting and let the effects stuff slide until i moved to Maine. Now i seem to get a lot of industrial design work and way less shooting porn.
