For the most part, US banks avoid medical marijuana and legal pot shops like the plague.

Who can blame them? Who'd like the Feds to pull the rug out from under your bank? After all, Uncle Sam still thinks WEED is the Devil's Lawn Clippings.

Enter, BTC ATMs. I love capitalism! Do you think these ATMs will branch out (pardon the weed pun) from pot shops into mainstream businesses?

Where are there weed shops that take bitcoin?

The few I've been to out west always took my credit card too.

Not in California, but I had one take a debit card in Denver.

In Oregon you can pay at many shops with your debit card just like at a grocery store but I haven't seen any that take bitcoin yet. I think bitcoin isn't mainstream enough yet for it to be too popular in weed shops, but maybe some day.

Many (illegal)online market places except BTC for weed. So yes, it makes perfect business for a legit company that has a hard time depositing cash to dispense it thru an ATM, rinse and repeat. I personally know someone working on getting these out by the end of the year. Major game changer for sure.
