I have always used my PS2 for any game play.
However, I just bought a new computer and want
to try an online multiplayer game. Which ones
have the best support, following, etc?

Whatever I get, I would probably want to download it from Kazaa
and try it before I buy it. I hate buying something to find out i
will never use it. Do these games require special coding you can
only get in a store bought version?

90% of the times you try a Warez game online, it will Identify you, and the company will contact you for using their product without a licens

Neocron is the only thing to play online In my opinion..
The game is unbelievably detailed, and complex, plus in 6 days they will be offering a public free trial download..

If you're talking RPG type then you got Everquest, Dark ages of Camelot, Asherons Call, Anarchy Online, Shadowbane.

God no, stay away from joysticks if you are going FPS..
Keyboard and mouse is the only way to play if you plan on surviving..

If you've never tried them before I reckon you should get a copy of Half Life and try the Team Fortress Classic http://www.planetfortress.com/ and Counterstrike http://www.counter-strike.net/ mods. They are both a lot of fun and easy to get into.

The only RPG I've really played is Asherons Call and it's great and a total time sink.

i like command and conquer generals, it shares a lot of synergy with creating and running a successful online porn biz!

I have played Quake 2 on PS2 and love it.
That may be the way to go.
