Do you believe in God? Do you follow a particular religion?

Personally I think its a load of crap, I live in the 'holy land' and there aint nothing holy about it - as far as I'm concerned religion is the root of all evil! Millions of people have been butchered over the centuries in the name of god and it still goes on today in so called modern societies.. religion is baaad mmkay?

Religion was fine for primitive man but we should be past that by now, we should know better - although I know primitive behaviour is still common on GFY ;)

Well I would say that religion has everything to do with god..

So you can't really have religion without a belief in god - however I would accept that you could believe in God without following a religion and so God can be separated from religion.

I was raised Catholic. I believe in god. I don't consider myself catholic, or any other kind of christian for that matter. I believe in a god. That's all i know.

A decent scientific theory needs to meet qualifications of falsifiability, predictability and explanatory power.. its anything but an educated guess.

So the dictionary describes how the word theory is commonly used, it doesn't prescribe how it should be used in a given context.

Well...a scientific theory...while having to meet criteria...and is sometimes even accepted as fact...is still just theory...but granted it is more potent than common usage of theory.

The Christian religion has everything to do with God and a specific God...the God of whatever Bible that they choose to use...that is of course what defines the religion. I assume what you are trying to say is that if there is a God that God does not necessarily have anything to do with religious organizations or denominations...but of course that is based upon your own individual perception/belief.

no it doesn't. religion is organization. it has nothing to do with God. no matter how much you'd like it to. religion/organization is the antithesis of a relation to God.
