Couple of Linux boxes and a couple of FreeBSD boxes at the house... one primary of each, however I use XP on my workstation (as well the the other workstations here).

Pretty good mix and lets you do the best of each world for certain tasks.

oscer, can WINE run even heavy applications like photoshop?

CGI 05-02-2003 02:26 AM

vmware :)

Is wine getting a bit more mature now? Last time I looked it ran almost everything I needed, however most of the UI got pretty trashed...

I was running Linux on my workstation with vmware for photoshop and stuff, however my workstation was lacking in power at the time and it was slow... vmware has gotten faster, so has my workstation -- but I'm kind of used to using XP now... that with Reflection/X and Putty leave me fairly satisfied since I get the best of each OS...

Anyone try Lindows?

I use linux as workstation and another box as a server too.
Of course, that's quite normal to expect because I'm linux developer :)

I have an old win98 box that I use to play games.

I run a small Suse Linux(v.8) server. I only use it for testing, since im a dedicated MS guy
