Too bad the government is too stupid to start selling marijuana legally and taxes it. hmm, money going to taxes instead of cartells/drug dealers, everyone getting safe weed instead of stupid kids smoking pcp and shit, and kids don't have to meet some shady dope dealer who will eventually start pushing harder drugs on them. Nope, that doesn't make sense at all, let's keep it illegal. After all, Big Tabacco wants it illegal, and we all know they'd never want anything that's not in the public's best interest.

I agree that making marijuana legal and taxing it would both put drug dealers out of business and make the weed safer, but there's just something about knowing that idiots would smoke it and get behind the wheel of a car that makes me say keep it illegal.
I mean think about it - we've already got enough drunks on the roads, and no amount of laws saying "alcohol is legal but you can't drive when you've been drinking" is stopping them from killing every day. It wouldn't stop the pot smokers, either.

Yes, I realize that there are plenty of high drivers on the road today, but there are people who do NOT get high and drive because they're so afraid of getting caught having smoked up. If you took away that fear, the roads would be just as full of "Oh I'm fine, I actually drive BETTER when I'm high!" idiots as there are alcoholics.

Apply it to anything... cars, forklifts, cranes... think of the possibilities for a moment and the threat to human life multiplies exponentially. Fucking scary.

I can't believe that illegal labour is less than 10% of the American economy. The entire California agricultural industry would collapse without it, and we're not the only state like that.

This might come as a shock to you but California is only 1 of 50 states. You should be glad that illegals are out there picking tomatoes, who the fuck else is going to do it?

I was in a car once where the driver was high, and I have to say that I doubt he would have crashed into anything, he couldnīt drive faster than 30/mph. It just freaked him out.

Iīm not saying that itīs ok or save by any means, just not nearly as dangerous as driving drunk!

That article states 3 million Americans are marijuana growers. That seems a stretch to me.
