I am using host file trick for adblocking, had to do it because there is too many sites which detect browser based adblock lol

I don't mind ads, what bugs me is too many ads.

For example lets say I want to watch a video on youtube. There's almost always an ad in front of it, even if the content I want is only a minute long.

Even worse are videos that are 10 minutes long, but have 5+ ads in them.

The worst of all are websites with text on whatever subject, but which have a delayed pop-up with an ad. It's not just an interruption, it's a rude interruption.

When I go to a website, I do notice the ads down the side, and thats fine. If the ad is something I'm interested in, I may click it. If not, having it pop-up in the middle of the content I'm trying to consume will not make me click it any more, in fact it will make me hate the brand.

Yep that is irony, main reason why i use adblock is google ads, either on random sites or on youtube, they are far more invasive then pop ad, which once you close you dont see anymore, while this shit keep repeating and repeating. And google wanted to kill websites which using pop.
